My two favorite have been the Secretary of State's Executive (S/EX) and the now-obsolete Directorate of Intelligence, Office for Russia and East Asia (DI/OREA) (which you have to say as a word out loud)
Heh!
Matilda got spoiled for something on her current obsession anime (Promised Neverland) and was literally hopping mad about it. Jumping up and down and whatnot.
And when JZ and I were talking about Histoires du Spoilage I confessed that the very first thing I posted on the Buffy board on TT was a spoiler.
And the very first interaction I had with any other Buffista was Dana posting "My eyes!!!"
I was hopping mad that I got spoiled for Tara being killed by IMDB having and end date for the actress.
I was all about the spoilers and actively sought them out, back in the day. Now, if I hear them fine, but don't make any effort to find them. Most times if I hear them I forget by the time I see the program!
To the tune of With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm I keep imagining "with his mask tucked underneath his chin". sigh ....
I miss the old-school spoiler communities, before streaming made everything asynchronous. I still have access to "spoilers" through DH's press screeners, but there's nobody to talk about them with because I've usually seen the entire series before it airs, and the spoilers don't mean anything to anyone!
I think the biggest thing I was inadvertently spoiled for was the introduction of Kendra the Vampire Slayer. I recall a snarky discussion regarding spoilers on The Bronze which speculated about the most militant of the spoiler averse being in for a surprise when they tuned in for the next season premiere after the show's cancellation. (Turned out to be a bit prophetic when the WB aired that commemorative promo after "Chosen" that implied the series was ending rather than jumping networks!)
Yay for vaccinations, particularly my mom's which came as a surprise yesterday from the same pharmacy that fouled up her place on the waiting list last week. If any of its workers are lurking and blanched after looking back through my post history regarding horror movies, hiya and thanks for getting the ball rolling!
Still no superpowers. (Unless "ability to go many days without a shower" is a superpower.) (If it is, it's a really bad superpower.)
I don't think that counts as a SUPER power ... it seems to be shared with a number of people.
(Unless "ability to go many days without a shower" is a superpower.)
Technically a Stinkerpower.
I have reached the point in the week where I don't want to eat anything that's in my house and it's almost 2pm and nothing sounds good for lunch. I don't miss commuting but damnit I do miss easy access to multiple options for food someone else already made.
