Can we substitute "adequately performing or repressing facial expressions in Zoom meetings" for that instead?
Heh. That is certainly a challenge I am aware of every meeting, not sure how well I succeed.
Painful cough is no fun, Tep. Hooray for good drugs being delivered!
I have spent basically all day doing the part of my job that was supposedly no longer part of my job as of last October and I am salty AF about it
Yay for good drugs. I hope they work quickly.
I have been stabbinated. Got my appointment card for next month too. When I got there I saw a line, but it was maybe a dozen people and it couldn't have been a 5 minute wait before I got my vaccine. Sat around for 15 minutes after to be sure I didn't keel over then drove myself home. (Told DH it was really silly for him to think he had to take me there)
It's a relief. One step in this being history.
Yay for vaccinations and for monoclonal antibodies and for best cough meds. I got my first shot and have already scheduled work-from-home for the week after the second one...mostly because I can. I don't really expect weird reactions. My sister got hers as well, thankfully.
DARPA is pretty great at acronyms, and the Intelligence Community has a wiki dedicated to helping people navigate through all the mess. My two favorite have been the Secretary of State's Executive (S/EX) and the now-obsolete Directorate of Intelligence, Office for Russia and East Asia (DI/OREA) (which you have to say as a word out loud)

Heh!
Matilda got spoiled for something on her current obsession anime (Promised Neverland) and was literally hopping mad about it. Jumping up and down and whatnot.
And when JZ and I were talking about Histoires du Spoilage I confessed that the very first thing I posted on the Buffy board on TT was a spoiler.
And the very first interaction I had with any other Buffista was Dana posting "My eyes!!!"
I was hopping mad that I got spoiled for Tara being killed by IMDB having and end date for the actress.
I was all about the spoilers and actively sought them out, back in the day. Now, if I hear them fine, but don't make any effort to find them. Most times if I hear them I forget by the time I see the program!
To the tune of With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm I keep imagining "with his mask tucked underneath his chin". sigh ....
I miss the old-school spoiler communities, before streaming made everything asynchronous. I still have access to "spoilers" through DH's press screeners, but there's nobody to talk about them with because I've usually seen the entire series before it airs, and the spoilers don't mean anything to anyone!
