Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another crazy week with Mr. S. More meltdowns at school, and he refused to go with the nanny after school. Gary had taken the week off, so he could pick Mr. S up, but he was not happy about it.(He had things to do that didn't get done because of it)

This weekend was Malice Domestic, which I commuted as usual. Because it's Passover I had to bring my lunch every day. Otherwise, a nice convention.

Sunny is in the care of his new human. I’m waiting for my flight home.

Coding and Sleeping

Rough weekend again, but I did manage to get some things done. Weather scuttled the trip we had planned, but it wasn't raining long enough for me to do the work I needed to do on my wife's car. New brake pads and an oil change. I made a video of how to change the brake pads for my kids to sort of pass down some knowledge. Not really polished content, but if for some reason you want to see how to change brake pads, it's here [link]

The new window frames held up to the storms, and we didn't get water in the sleeping porch, so that's a win. Still feeling pretty down overall though.

Love hearing about Shir's trip. That sounds like a lot of fun.

New human looked real nice! You did the good deed!

The new window frames held up to the storms, and we didn't get water in the sleeping porch, so that's a win.

Keeping the water where it belongs is about 80% of home ownership. Good job!

Still feeling pretty down overall though.

Take pride in the fact that we gather everyday in a digital townhall that you coded. I'm always so grateful for you carrying on ita's legacy and giving us a home. A great good deed in the world.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Matilda and I cleaned the guinea pig cage! It was stank. (We got behind because she had three games last week.)

I've loaded the dishwasher and running it. I took out the garbage cans for pickup tomorrow.

And I'm trying to find ways to finesse the balky draining on the washing machine (we have settings for extra spin cycle).

I've got a busy upcoming week wit Memorial planning, first of month expenses, doctor appointments and lunch with Emmett on Tuesday.

Alert alert! It is almost May! Do you know where your darling buds are?

Our wings are not tired.

I am afloat in the Atlantic somewhere. The router I set up at home seems to be more challenging now. I should have written down the steps. Oh well, limited connection. Both of my sisters are in motorized scooters. I haven't had my watch on, but I know I have more than exceeded my step count before 9AM local time.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hecubus, I think I have no darling buds. Except maybe for y'all. (May usually makes me feel like Spike taking his blanket out during the daytime.) Have too much time on my hands, too because I'm trying to get a few old white guys not to feel sorry for themselves so much. Dare me to post "*Attitudes are the *real* DEI."(Nah, I'd probably hate these guys, but not that much. Although if they show up like that in an interview...it's kind of not a mystery why somebody doesn't swoop them up. and it doesn't have much to do with guys named Jamal.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hi friends. Been gone for a hot second.

Was so glad to see Sunny with new human on fb. I know that was a whole saga, and I have hope that this is Sunny’s HEA.

It’s Monday and I spent most of my weekend sleeping and I’m still tired to my bones. My ability to do this job is about at an end, and my desire to do it is well ended. I had to go out for lunch because I dropped my delicious leftovers on the break room floor… and instead of driving back I’m sitting in my car reading and posting here.

But I leave Thurs for NC, and am staying with the marvelous Calli for a couple nights, and seeing other friends, and spending time with my dad for the first time since my mom’s memorial, and interviewing for a job that I pray will facilitate my escape from this place.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Updating here as well for those who don't read F2F: a few hours ago I tested positive for COVID. It's very mild, I'm doing OK and at Jess', but I'm hitting pause on any plans until I'm 24 hours without fever and hopefully testing negative (and then mask everywhere and keeping my distance from people). Crossing fingers that these 24 hours are happening from today.
