WOO HOO ALTERNATIVE FLIGHT!!
We call basically any snack "girl dinner" in our house, I think because that meme was reaching peak internet saturation over a weekend when Ethan had taken the kids out of town without me and I declared my intention to have microwave nachos for every meal.
I have totally failed to grasp the meaning of “girl dinner”. I am old and have irregular eating habits at best.
My SIL generally makes the decisions of what my nails will look like for the next 3 weeks. This week she made me more girly girl than ever, and I kind of love it. Glued on flowers that she promises will stay put. [link]
I just put together a new bed frame with an absurd number of pieces so I think I trust her on this now.
THERE'S AN ALTERNATIVE FLIGHTTTTT. Travel agent found that miracle.
::fist pump of happy triumph::

Get your girly on!
Matilda is off to Santa Cruz for the day with two of her friends, and my downstairs neighbor took her son camping. So I have the entire building to myself. I feel like I should be doing something more frolicksome than my current state of watching Drag Race clips on YouTube.
If that plan will work, I'll be coming from 95F weather (there will be a heatwave). I'm looking at the weather forcast in NY and having a hard time to believe it. I changed back to summer wardrobe about two weeks ago, this NY weather forecast makes no sense.
Great news, sorry we won't meet up this time.
Maybe someday.
Hoping that I'll be able to see you too F2F someday, erika (and all of other lovely Buffistas that I'll miss in this trip).
But honestly, I'll believe all of the meeting friends F2F thing only after the plane will take off from Tel Aviv and land in another airport. Too much is changing on a daily basis as is.

Whatever you’re doing, it’s probably better than going out into the Haight today.
I finally did the thing I’ve been putting off! Well, most of it. There’s still some to do but it wasn’t the part that was making me procrastinate it AND making me feel worse the more I procrastinated it. I think it took maybe 10 minutes. Maybe 15. The other part will probably take up to 30 but isn’t nearly so onerous nor is it as pressing.
Whatever you’re doing, it’s probably better than going out into the Haight today.
That's very true. I'm avoiding it assiduously.
