I don't give half a hump if you're innocent or not. So where does that put you?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(Unless, David, you have specific ideas of where folks should stay)

Not really. They might want to be closer to the venue for the Memorial or closer to the Haight but that's up to them.

Our wings are not tired

We are staying at the Hotel Adagio. It's a Marriott property that's nearby and that's where all of my points are. Looks like it should be a nice place.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I’m staying at my regular place, the Stanyan Park Hotel, which is near chez Smay, but pricey, and when I booked it a month ago, already pretty full.

We're staying at the Hotel Majestic. It's close to the venue and looked interesting.

Aftershock!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another week down the tubes here. School started up again on Tuesday, and Mr. S had a major meltdown. He was quite disregulated the next morning and refusing to take his meds. Eventually he took them, but not before Gary got incredibly frustrated and hit him with a pillow. Once he got to school he had another meltdown and told his teacher that he'd been hit. Which led to police coming by that evening to do a welfare check. When they wanted to talk to him he became physically aggressive, hitting me and one of the officers. This led to him being taken to the ER in handcuffs, again. Gary followed. It was decided Mr. S needed more help than they could offer, and yesterday they found a bed in the same pediatric ward he was in last November.

To sum up: Mr. S is in the hospital again.

sigh...

I'm sorry, Sheryl. I hope they have more success with him this stay.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm so sorry Sheryl. I hope this stay helps.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Sheryl.

Good news re: benefits, David!

We did manage to watch Poor Things last week. I was not prepared for the amount of very naked Emma Stone weird sex I was going to be watching with my teen daughter, but we both enjoyed the movie.

I feel like almost nothing I heard about that movie was just how much it is ABOUT sex! So I tried to tell that to everyone I was telling about it, even at work, which maybe was awkward and/or a mistake? But I would hate to have said I really liked it and then had the coworker been surprised?? Anyway.

It is a day of celebration! Happy birthday to Amy! I hope you have a day filled with treats and that the year to come is a delight. (Did you have the earth move beneath your feet yesterday?)
