Speaking from experience, make sure that you're STILL on your parent's accounts. My mom moved her accounts to a different branch of her bank and in the process I was dropped from her accounts. Had to get the lawyer involved to get access to her safe deposit box to get at an official copy of her will. Which took more time and yet another trip home at a time I was already stressed out.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Lots of health~ma to Tim and Steph and Hil's aunt and uncle and frankly, everyone.
My husband and kids all know my usual passwords and how to get into my computer which has all my lists. They can all get into my phone too, although they usually hold it out for me to fingerprint open it because they are lazy.
Vaccines here are mostly being distributed by Publix, most likely because of corruption and favoritism from DeSantis. I go nowhere, except to the grocery pickup spots and my SIL's to get my nails done. Not an essential worker by any stretch of imagination. I'll just wait until I make it to the top of the county queue that I signed up for weeks ago. Who knows, maybe it will be after the one dose variety is available.
There have been a lot more cases at his work, where those assholes don't wear masks regularly (although Tim always does).
That is infuriating. I hope Tim recovers easily and that you managed to escape infection, Tep.
I mean, that's how I got Covid (with bonus hyponatremia and seizures) too. So I've already got the furious on tap. Thanks, non-Soldier coworker! I hope your unmaskedness was worth it.
Ugh, Tim tested positive for Covid.
Oh, no! I am so sorry. Sending you both all the health vibes. Stay mild, Tim's Covid, stay mild. And that you don't have it.
They have shakers of brewers' yeast (same thing, basically) at movie theatres in Milwaukee and it drives me nuts you can't find it anywhere else. Back when movie theatres were a thing, you know.
Cool. I have never seen that!
Longtime dream of mine is to buy an old theater and convert it into a home and small theater for old movies.
Which is to say, I’ll have it there should it ever happen.
That is an awesome dream. I would like to go to there.
Dana, it kind of tastes like Parmesan cheese? Or that's how I think of it.
Yes, to me, it tastes cheesy. Yum.
So I guess I'm asking, Does everybody have a "if I died tomorrow my estate (such as it is) would not be a horror show for my surviving family members (including passwords)" file or folder designated as such?
No, but now I have a new project! Matt can get into my phone, so contacting people, getting into FB and e-mail are within reach. Still, who knows -- my phone might go with me (you know, in the crypt, with my terra cotta army) so would be of no use to him. Yeah. I need to make a document and share it on Drive.
I hope your aunt and uncle are doing well, Hil.
Enjoying watching the snow fall. Well, technically, not snowing right now, but still.
share it on Drive
I am not that trusting of online infrastructure or security.
Have an offline physical backup of some sort.
Very good point.
Steph, how is Tim feeling? How are you?
Timelies all!
Snowing here. Mr. S is continuing to be very annoying. sigh...

I just read The Testaments by Margaret Atwood, and there's a great sly reference to how historians (of 21whatever) have had a hard time reconstructing this whole era because of digital degradation and lack of ability to access stuff.
