"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Also, of course I want to know about the excess muffin mix.

I SAID not to ask.

The recipe didn't have a yield and I just follow instructions without any actual thought behind it, so it was only as I was spooning mix into the muffin tin that I went, "....wait, that's a lot."

Yum, muffins!

All the congratulations to Nilly’s son! I hope it goes amazing.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

How is he old enough for that? Unpossible! (Though Squeak turns nineteen in three weeks. So.)

I've been stress shopping lately and justifying it as dressing appropriately for JZ for her memorial. It's somehow both sad and enjoyable, and it sure as hell beats dealing with the clusterfuck that is my family. (Which is a huge, huge, huge clusterfuck, and I might need to pay my parents' property taxes for them, and man, it would be great if they could be in assisted living, but we'd have to sell their house for that, and then where would my siblings who cannot work go? AHAHAHAHA. FML.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, Steph, I'm sorry to hear about your brother and glad to hear about your therapist!

Nilly's eldest will have his Bar Mitzvah soon. He'll be reading Book of Esther this Sunday/Monday.

Oh wow, mazel tov to him! (And his parents, I am sure.)

The recipe didn't have a yield and I just follow instructions without any actual thought behind it, so it was only as I was spooning mix into the muffin tin that I went, "....wait, that's a lot."

Oh yeah, that's how I ended up making one million mini-cupcakes from a cake recipe.

Yikes, Plei that does sound like a clusterfuck. Shopping sounds like an appropriate response.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sorry about the stress (and the stuff behind it, that sounds super not fun) but this is giving me a lot of feels

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I completely validate this self-care-through-shopping!

I have several questions...
