David, I'm thinking of you and Matilda.

And in a separate post: she does not have the time to check the board these days, but I wanted to let you all know that Nilly's eldest will have his Bar Mitzvah soon. He'll be reading Book of Esther this Sunday/Monday.
It's an extra joy to bring good news to this board, after announcing mostly bad news in the past six months.

Bar Mitzvah is exciting, but wait until he turns 17!!
Oh, wow, passage of time. Book of Esther seems like a pretty sweet portion for a Bar Mitzvah!
I made too much muffin mix (don't ask), and I think I'm going to try it out in my new bundt cake pan.
It is good to read that there is some normalcy in Nilly's life.
Also, of course I want to know about the excess muffin mix.
Oh, Steph, so sorry to hear about your brother and I’d be mad at him for lying too and for not being the sibling you need to deal with the shit happening with your dad right now.
Also, of course I want to know about the excess muffin mix.
I SAID not to ask.
The recipe didn't have a yield and I just follow instructions without any actual thought behind it, so it was only as I was spooning mix into the muffin tin that I went, "....wait, that's a lot."
Yum, muffins!
All the congratulations to Nilly’s son! I hope it goes amazing.
How is he old enough for that? Unpossible! (Though Squeak turns nineteen in three weeks. So.)
I've been stress shopping lately and justifying it as dressing appropriately for JZ for her memorial. It's somehow both sad and enjoyable, and it sure as hell beats dealing with the clusterfuck that is my family. (Which is a huge, huge, huge clusterfuck, and I might need to pay my parents' property taxes for them, and man, it would be great if they could be in assisted living, but we'd have to sell their house for that, and then where would my siblings who cannot work go? AHAHAHAHA. FML.)
