"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Jen, the full name is Amor De Mis Amores and it is Brownie Truffle flavored.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Ugh trying to write up a counseling for an employee that has made other employees uncomfortable by asking personal questions, spending too much time chatting with them, looking at them as they walk in the halls, and then recently partially blocked an exit so an employee would have to pass closely to them. It’s so clearly edging to harassment but then is also not overt enough to check any clear boxes. Never asked them out, never used innuendo.

Ugh, indeed. People suck.

sj, that sounds fabulously delicious.

At the vet with the cats. It was so easy to get them into their carrying cases. TOO easy. They're planning something...

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's not currently sexual harassment (from what you said) but it is definitely harassment when blocking to cause others to pass closely.

People do suck.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Glad to hear the good news, Susan!

I hope your dad recovers quickly, shrift.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

DH is in the hospital with a kidney stone(s) and a bonus staph infection. The ER faffed around and finally found him a room at 9pm, so I headed home, and managed to hit something in the road the headlights didn't pick up and blew a tire. The tow driver was going to change it for me, so I could just drive it home, but that wouldn't work because in fact I blew both right tires. Yay? So he put the spare on the rear so he could dolly it home and it's now sitting, wounded and glaring at me when I walk by. The tires are guaranteed, one just has to take the one flat off the car and retrieve the other from the trunk, put them in the back of the...oh, wait. There's mysterious paperwork to be found and taken with, ghods know where that is. But eventually the tire place should replace them both, free. So DH has a few amusements waiting for him. Meanwhile, I have groceries, and a neighbor has volunteered to take me to the hospital to pick up DH when they release him and bring us both home. Phone calls and voice mails and texts back and forth keep me posted on his progress. Calls are the most fun--he's a little loopy on pain meds. They did a procedure yesterday to crush and ensmallen the stone(s), results remain to be seen. Meanwhile, the drugs are fun. Send some ~ma his way if you can spare it.

Susan, wonderful results! Benign is FINE! Hugs to Sophia and Laura, and anybody else who needs one. Also cheers and congratulations to those who've earned them. Kudos for endurance and determination to the rest of us.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay Susan!

We are back in the house. I cleared out the last of the stuff from the hotel last night and checked out. On the upside, we have a working stove, range top and fridge. On the downside, the sink is awaiting a new disposal, so that's not usable. They are supposed to be bringing our stuff from storage starting tomorrow. Still, it's nice to be sleeping in my own bed again.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

there is a vase with three red roses on the kitchen table

My first thought was the trigger from Dollhouse until I remembered it's Feb 14.

It’s so clearly edging to harassment but then is also not overt enough to check any clear boxes. Never asked them out, never used innuendo.

I worked with a designer like that. The most egregious moment was him asking me to keep stepping closer so he could look at the design on my shirt. After a couple steps I told him to look at the shirts in the gift shop. A couple of my crew were there and they found it as uncomfortable as I did.

Hooray, Susan!

Recovery~ma for shrift's dad and Beverly's DH. I hope the tire repair goes smoothly.

We are back in the house.

Hooray, Sheryl! My brother has been going through the same thing. They've been out of their house since August and probably have another month to go.

I texted my brother late this afternoon to check if he had gone to the parade in KC. He had no idea anything had happened because he had spent the entire day scraping popcorn off the ceiling in the house. I know my parents were planning to watch the parade on tv. I'm still perusing FB for various friend check-ins. The one who was posting videos from the parade is safe.
