Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

I have such bad white-coat anxiety I've had people check my pressure twice "Because you would be dead, if your pressure was really like this."

Our wings are not tired.

I hae the white coat syndrome too, which is ridiculous since I work with doctors and am in the offices all the time, but apparently it is a thing.

I hope it was just a result of the understandable anxiety, Tom. Did you get any results on the test?

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Yikes, Tom! If you have a fever, that means you're at least somewhat sick, and being sick (especially with a fever) can raise blood pressure. So this might be temporary.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

OK I reread your Google doc, and actually my possible trip is the week after you're planning to leave NYC so we should be fine. Whew!

I haven't read the doc, when is Shir going to be in NYC, I could maybe come down!

My hairline has receded as I've gotten older, I have been diagnosed with frontal facing alopecia, which is very common in black women. I am on a whole bunch of meds (hair vitamins, anti inflammatory, antibiotic, a topical cream, a topical ointment, and minoxidil!). It's stopped receding, and my derm wants to discuss a hair transplant. Fun!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc has a snow day today. However, there is now snow, at least not yet. Because of the complete lack of snow TCG still has work. ltc is already being difficult; so, I’m having my tea in bed until her morning shows end.

I haven’t noticed any hair loss yet.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I hope urgent care was able to give you some relief, Tom!

Do they at least post it on a website or text you?

It's a random mix - I get emails, my husband gets texts and calls. Sometimes I also get texts! And they update FB/Twitter. Anyway, they did cancel school last night so nobody had to wait for a 5am call. Victory!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I have skipped and skimmed so much, so much love to those who want it, high fives and hugs all around.

I have been reading a lot lately on how high-masking smart neurodivergent women just FALL THE FUCK APART during perimenopause because all of the coping mechanisms we've been using since puberty were built on a foundation of mostly reliable hormone levels, which, as it turns out, were pretty important for day-to-day functioning.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yes. Very much so.

I get the phone calls and texts. Sometimes the phone calls come in at 5:30 AM when they don't make the decision the night before, which is fun times.

We finally have some actual snow to justify the day off, though not much by our standards. ltc has been watching Gravity Falls and talking a mile a minute next to me while I try to work on household budget stuff. This afternoon we're going to make a cake from a Christmas box mix that we never got around to making a Christmas. TCG works until 7 today, and then as an after work meeting, which they can do virtually even if the snow gets bad. So, it's going to be a loooooong day here.
