CANCEL SCHOOL TOMORROW YOU COWARDS
(We are expecting 7-12 inches overnight, the village PD has already declared a snow emergency starting at 8pm tonight, and I should NOT have to wait until 5am tomorrow to find out it's a snow day for the kids.)

That is not something I would’ve expected to be a traffic jam reason!!
The Naples plane crash was a 12 seat fancy private jet with 6 aboard. (Coming from Ohio on the way to Fort Lauderdale) They lost both engines somehow and radioed that they had to attempt landing on the highway. The wing clipped the sound wall on the side and tumbled a couple times, then burst into an impressive ball of jet fueled flame. Unimaginably, 3 walked away, like actually walked down the median. I figure it must have broken apart or something allowing them to get out. I didn't watch the local news after the multiple interuptions the first day.
Anyway, 2 days later the stretch was still closed so either delay for the NTSB or repair for the melted roadbed. I'll bet traffic this morning was interesting if it is still closed.

Of course having been raised in NY my first thought was WooT Snow Day! I would operate under the assumption that the busses won't go out, so no school.

There is literally no chance school is happening tomorrow, it's just my stupid district never decides it's official until the last minute.
Do they at least post it on a website or text you? That is annoying. Ours seem to be the opposite. They cancel when they even suspect there might be an issue, then the kids get a day off with great weather.
Came down with a fever this afternoon, stopped at urgent care for a PCR test, and my BP is 170/90. It was 120/90 last month. Fuck fuck fuck.
Do they know what it might be? Also, obviously, being stressed elevates your blood pressure, which stresses you more.
I have such bad white-coat anxiety I've had people check my pressure twice "Because you would be dead, if your pressure was really like this."
I hae the white coat syndrome too, which is ridiculous since I work with doctors and am in the offices all the time, but apparently it is a thing.
I hope it was just a result of the understandable anxiety, Tom. Did you get any results on the test?
Yikes, Tom! If you have a fever, that means you're at least somewhat sick, and being sick (especially with a fever) can raise blood pressure. So this might be temporary.
