I didn’t expect Super Bowl commentary but am surprised nobody had feelings about Usher!
'A Hole in the World'
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I had feelings about Usher! They were: positive.
And now I see the game is going into overtime? That's nuts.
Chiefs!
Woo, Chiefs! That overtime delayed my school prep though. Did I mention that I took the teaching gig? It's both energizing and exhausting.
Karl, thank you for opening that story with "no one is hurt"! Fingers crossed the insurance payout for the car will be a good one.
I am stoked about my grey streaks and wish there was a way to bleach/dye only the still-brown bits so I can have silvery streaks among the blue/purple/green.
I rarely want to do anything on Mondays, but today is even worse.
The game was good. I’m not remembering many of the commercials, the Dunkin one and the Jesus one from the hate group are the only ones I recall right now.
I’m not an usher fan, so I was meh on the halftime.
Halftime just seemed complicated and way too busy, but Usher still has moves.
Karl, glad you're okay!
New job is good -- except the therapist I love (the only one here) took a new job. It will be great for him, but yikes! New people. Do not want. He assured me the person above him ( who is great, I've met her) will find someone awesome to replace him. We'll see, I guess.
Thursday I headed over to my sister's to take her to the doctor on Friday and celebrate my brother's birthday. I brought my laptop, but didn't really use it because the screen bugs my eyes. Therefore, I apologize for being neglectful in my birthday announcements!
Belated birthday wishes for -t, who I am sure is having a great one since she is sharing it with smonster. May the rest of the year include many delightful adventures.
Today we have the lovely joint birthday celebration of Pix and Maria! May the day be filled with treats and may the year to come include far more delight than anticipated.
Yesterday was a hectic as the previous days. Drove the couple hour drive home in the morning, including a diversion because of a small jet crash on I-75 in Naples. When home quickly made my Superbowl treats, which were delicious! I made veggie sliders stacked as follows: bun, sundried tomato spread, mozzarella, garlic powder & oregano, julienned sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, pesto, bun. They were super yum and all enjoyed them. We drove 2 hours north to BIL's BIL's place, watched the game, drove home dropping off a couple others, and got home around 1. But the game was pretty exciting and the company was excellent.
I liked the halftime show—especially Usher on roller skates! (well done, sir)—even though I don't know more than one of his songs. I loved the whole mid-90s R&B vibe.
When Ludacris joined the performance, I said "I am so uncool, I have no idea who that is," and my 65-year-old stepdad and 75-year-old aunt said "Ludacris!" and I said "Damn, you guys are cooler than me! ...although it's *extremely* easy to be cooler than me."
