I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I feel a nostalgic urge to bring up thread proliferation, for some reason

information libertarian

I have been In Menopause since 2019 AIFG.

I mean except for the visible aging and lack of fitness, but not menstruating? I can’t believe I did that for 33 years, give or take a couple of kids.

Right?!? I mean, mine got shortcut by the cancer thing, but it's amazing how quickly I've gotten used to not having to deal with it every 3-3 1/2 weeks (once a month, my ass) and thinking back on what a nuisance it was seems like a dim memory (again, partly because I've had bigger fish to fry, but still).

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I loved not having a period with my 2 consecutive Mirenas (which would have been 3, except apparently my cervix is made of steel).

Medical question that dr. google has been no help on: I'm tapering off the prednisone I was prescribed for the bronchial thing I've been dealing with, and I have two days of antibiotics to go. My coughing and shortness of breath are starting to come back, whee. If this keeps going, do I contact the urgent care clinic I went to for this?

Definitely. You might need a different antibiotic. Are you still using the inhaler?

Yep, still using the inhaler for the max four times a day allowed.

The other thing about being on the prednisone is that I haven't had any migraines or all-body inflammation pain while I've been on it. Once I find a damn PCP, I guess I'll mention that to them.

Timelies all!

House update:

All the flooring is done and the walls are repainted. The new cabinets have been installed in the kitchen, and most of the cabinet pulls are attached. Some of the countertops are installed(one of the pieces turned out to be too small) and some of the appliances have been reattached.

Pretty close to being able to move back in.(Finally!)

That’s great, Sheryl!

I just got back from the optometrist two hours ago, and my dilated pupils finally let me put in my Zenni order. Kinda fun. Now that I’ve started playing with fun hair color (loved the purple, planning on teal in a month or so), I went with a plain black rim that would contrast with them.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

If I have a migraine that won't go away, steroids are the only the thing that work. Either IV dexamethasone or prednisone orally (either a Medrol pack or a 10-day course). But let me tell you, doctors do not like prescribing steroids these days. I used to be able to go to urgent care for an IV, but they won't do steroids anymore.
