The funniest thing about the Taylor Swift "controversy" to me is the people convinced that she's dating Kelce for his money.

That was hysterical, the one guy saying, "Kelcie just got $70,000 bonus, get the picture?"

Like, Taylor sneezes that much before she wakes up. She probably donates that much to Hedgehog Hospitals before she goes to the gym.

It's grey, wet and blustery in San Francisco this morning. I'm sitting in my reading chair watching the weather vane (a girl holding an umbrella) spin around on the neighboring building.

There are things I should do today but I'm paralyzed with not caring.

Last night I went to the Harold and Maude concert (part of Sketchfest) at Great American Music Hall. I took my friends Eleanor and Jude from Borderland Books (because it is their favorite movie). They were all dressed up and we had a lovely dinner at Cha Cha Cha, Ubered in a timely manner and just as we pulled up to the venue Eleanor got a call from her fiancé.

He was having a unrelenting headache (it happens), with pressure behind his eye (Hmmmm) and one (just one) of his pupils was widely dilated (alarm!). So she went to him and missed the concert, which was a bummer, but at least I wasn't alone and Jude was good company.

(It turns out it was a weird migraine effect, and not glioblastoma or something.)

Concert itself was fantastic with brief staged scenes to follow the movie and they did the entire movie soundtrack (so several iterations of "If You Want to Sing Out").

Margaret Cho played Harold in the spoken bits. Janet Varney (aka, the voice of Korra) played Harold's mom and had a great singing voice. And indie icon Petra Haden (that dog, The Decembrists etc - daughter of jazz great Charlie Haden) lead a superb group of singers in harmonies.

Really fun, the musicians were enjoying doing those Cat Stevens songs so much, and perfect for old farts in that it started at 8pm and was done by 9:48, and there were chairs to sit in and a cocktail waitress. Woo.

Tonight I go back to Great American Music Hall for my last event of my busy January, and see the same ensemble doing music from Twin Peaks with guest performer, Kyle Maclachan.

I just had a hot chocolate. Despite maintenance saying "I should be fine" (as opposed to my office neighbor who has no heat at all), my office is still chilly!
