COngrats on the new job, Amy! I hope it works out well.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yay gabapenton!
Boo head cold, Debet! But yay saying hi!
last time I had it on autopay ConEd stole accidentally charged us $10k
Yikes! That’s basically why I only have a couple bills on autopay, ones that should be the same every month. I worry something like that would happen and also worry they’d charge me double or something and I wouldn’t notice for six months or something! Having to go in and manually pay it is probably more trouble than it’s worth but it’s my monthly “oh wait, how much am I spending?” check on myself.
I did discover that I was the only person on staff who knew that the safe is always behind the picture on the wall.
Yay, Todd! Although it is a bit surprising no one else knew that...
I just licked the brownie batter bowl so thoroughly I am clearly destined to die of salmonella, but it was SO worth it.
Thanks for the good wishes on the job!
I'm all hopped on brownie batter, I know, but one link: [link]
Cute cottage/house, but ... why are the walls black in every room? (They are relieved by white under the chair rail or whatever, but still.)
Also I have forgotten how to neatly format links. Apologies!
Now if escape rooms had a bar and a live camera feed so you could watch the people in the room, I'd send Mr. Loomy into one and watch the chaos.
This? This I wanna watch. With a cocktail.
I had zero problems going off of gabapentin fwiw.
Cool, thanks for the data point, sj.
Never had a problem with gabapentin and I've gone on and off of it for years. I thought I was on a pretty high dose at 300 mg three times a day.
Most issues reported were with a much, much higher dose and long-term use.
Hopefully no issues and fingers crossed, JenP.
I did an escape room with coworkers around six years ago. It was fun. We “escaped”. But it felt like trivia night at the pub, without the drinks option. So it could be better.
Cute cottage/house, but ... why are the walls black in every room?
Yeah, I’d be ok with that in the kitchen and living room, but smaller spaces would seem pretty oppressive to me. And repainting would take several coats, even with a blocking base layer. It’s giving me flashbacks to when I was earning some extra money repainting a rental property a friend of a friend was selling. The last tenant had gone a bit wild with the wall colors, and the bright orange room took forever to cover up. But I was getting paid by the hour, so I was fine with it. If the buyers don’t repaint it themselves, whoever they hire will love these design choices.
I saw online a woman who was obsessed with Outlander. She and her husband redid their 1759 house so it looked more like something from Scotland - lots of deep blue walls, one room had imitation stone on the walls to make it look like a castle. It was well done and looked good, but that may take fandom a bit too far (note I said "may"). Needless to say, she had a meltdown when they announced it was ending (Outlander, not her house).
