If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I need to find a new OBGYN, because while I like the one I saw last time, her office is next to impossible to get ahold of and so I'm way overdue for my annual. (Like...years overdue.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jeez, Steph, you want a lot!

I'm sorry for so many medical/body problems!!

I am lucky that I basically have an old-style HMO set-up that works with my non-old-style-HMO insurance. When my PCP retired, she just transferred me to another doctor at the same center, and I've never actually seen her -- I get my care from a PA (or nurse practitioner? I forget.) in her practice. Most specialty care I've gotten is also in the same center (GYN, mammogram, PT, etc.), all of which is walkable from my house. It's very convenient!

You want oxygen and blood flow at the same time? So demanding!

AND avocado toast!

Entitled hipster! (Is 100% NOT how I think of you...)

Guys -- gabapentin RULES. I slept well and comfortably last night, and I'm feeling almost normal today... uh, in terms of shingles nerve pain, that is. Bless, bless, bless. And my doc was able to visually inspect to see that, yup, that part of my back is still "warm" so still inflamed.

I go through One Medical, (now owned by Amazon, I'm pretty sure), because it came as a free perk for a year at my previous job, and I have to say, it's been awesome. The access is primo, and the app is actually useful, my doc rules and the PAs I've seen have been good. I pay for it now, but it works out to $16 monthly, and I am happy to pay that surcharge for the stress free access and service.

Commercial over. I now return you to your regularly scheduled Nattering.

Reader, I snorted.

Excellent news!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hooray for meds doing their job!

Y'all, my work laptop got upgraded from an ancient Toshiba Tecra to a newer if not new ThinkPad (I keep wanting to say IBM but actually Lenovo these days? I am also ancient) and it is surprisingly disorienting! Everything looks slightly different and the keyboard not only is a different enough size to throw off my not-quite-but-almost-touch-typing but, like, the ctrl key is in a different spot. Change is hard! So many typos. Seems to leave a bit more room on my lap for the cat, though, so that's a plus.

Cat room is a plus! It is weird changing laptops, though. May your adjustment period be short!

It's so warm and sunny today. So freaking weird.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

When I successfully managed to get Matilda in for an appointment at the Teen clinic on Wednesday, they noted that they were no longer partnering with my insurance after February. Great?

Looks like my wire transfer was done this morning. We'll see if it posts to my account in time for me to fend off the IRS.

On the previous subject of supplements, I've started taking a Motility supplement. I got sucked into watching their whole dang infomercial and got it even though it was on the expensive side.

However, it does do exactly what it promises to do which is it gives you a Goldilocks poop every day. Not too hard, not too soft, not too much wiping.

I've cut back from their recommended two-a-day dose to one, which basically cuts the price in half with no loss in efficacy.

There used to be a Korean take-out place downstairs where I work. I would eat kimchi from there once or twice a week, and I was in a probiotic poop nirvana. But then they went out of business during the pandemic.

probiotic poop nirvana

This may be the best phrase I've ever heard.
