So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Hoping the gabapentin works. Good talk with her.

Since shingles affects the nerves, it makes sense that gapabentin would work. Fingers crossed!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Mom has seen dad and he seems well. The surgery tomorrow is more intensive and longer.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Msbelle, tons of surgery~ma for your dad.

ltc is still feeling crappy. She has a lot of congestion and they ran tests on the usual suspects. I should have the results by tomorrow or Saturday. She’s so upset about missing school and a birthday party on Saturday.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ugh. My big wire transfer didn't go through yesterday because I have two different checking accounts and I gave them my account number for the joint account with JZ instead of the account number for the Living Trust.

So, the good news is that the money did not disappear into the ether nor re-routed to a Nigerian prince, but now we have to do it all again tomorrow while the IRS taps it's foot impatiently, or perhaps is rubbing its hands in glee at the idea of seizing my property.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Car didn't start in the Costco parking lot. It jumped eventually, thanks to a helpful bystander, but we just had the battery tested and it is supposedly good, so that may mean a more complicated problem. Sigh.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

Shit. Not like you've been stressed, or distracted or anything. But I don't think they really want it.(Not that they wouldn't *take* it.)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I’m sorry, Brenda.

I still don’t have a PCP. I know I need to go through the provider directory for my insurance again, but I just don’t have the spoons for it.

I have grown older, but not up.

I still don’t have a PCP.

Get it done. Procrastinating on that is one of my major regrets.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

My PCP (who I had been with for more than 20 years) retired while I was in the hospital recovering from my "big" surgery. I didn't see the letter until she had been gone nearly a month. Since I switched hospital systems (from Sharp to UCSD), it made sense to find a PCP with UCSD. It was stupidly difficult. And given how often I'm seeing major-league specialists, it's hard to care that much. Though I did finally do it and saw her in September. She's fine, whatever. But I DID do it, so y'all better get on it!
