Defining moment of this cold snap: my mustache froze up when I took the trash to the dumpster yesterday.

It's 55 in San Francisco so I suggest you all pop into you pneumatic tube and come on over for lunch.
Or use your transporter technology to come enjoy 59 deg in San Diego!
Hmm, says 83, with lack of wind chill, feels like 89. I can confirm that it is sticky out.
Laura definitely wins there. Today is our first day above freezing in several days, and it’s only just. But definitely my house is finally warmer (and not 54 degrees when I go downstairs in the morning!) None of my stuff froze but I haven’t checked my outdoor faucets, which I should have done something about and didn’t even think of. Fingers crossed.
Meanwhile I have less than zero desire to do work, again. Client on one project is grumpy that we are moving part of my role to someone else (to save my sanity) and I’m like “ooh, tell them I’ll quit and then they won’t have me at all?” Lol.
Monday was not fun, I was mopping up water from my laundry room floor before it could freeze. But at least being able to take a hot shower made today somewhat more pleasant.
I, for one, am happy we’re getting a taste of real winter. It’s been too long. (And very grateful for my warm home, of course)

I envy SO MANY of those degrees!
My computer says it's 18 here, but thanks to perimenopause, the only part of me that's cold is my toes (despite wool socks and puffy slippers). The rest of me is totally comfortable, but my toes are not getting the message.
My pink Birkenstocks got delivered today (thank you, Barbie movie), but I'll be waiting for many more degrees to wear them.
((((Kristin and Drew))))
I’m so sorry.

I'm torn, I'm not a fan of anything above about 75, but here lately my preference for cold is getting tested. I don't know if it's getting older or chemo aftereffects or what, but the cold seems to be hitting harder this winter (and yes, I'm VERY thankful to be living in a place where I can make that observation at 59 degrees not the crazy cold some of y'all are dealing with!)
Kristin, I'm so sorry that you have joined us in this Loss Club. I hope and pray that loving memories will bring you what comfort is possible in the coming days. I wish you grace and peace and so much love.
