Dudes, I am 0 for 1 in medical self-diagnosis. Which I realized before my doctor's appt. this morning when I saw the rash. Fucking shingles! Dr. confirmed. Grrr. And I've been vaccinated!

Hi. As Hec pointed out in another place, time doesn't exist in hospitals. I've been here almost two weeks (aside from the 12 hours I spent in LA before rushing back), and I am averaging 70 hours a week here. We aren't next to a window, so that makes it even harder to tell if time is passing. I feel like I'm going to be here forever. BUT, in one #win, I did finally get the charge nurse to agree to move Dad over to the other bed now that the guy next to us has been discharged. That bed has a window and a working TV. Small victories. The window looks onto a moldy roof, but at least it has natural light.
