Just an update since Pix has not been on since earlier today. Her dad got moved back to the hospital. He's in rough shape, and she just got the news that he's septic. They are working on that now on top of other other issues. I'm in touch with her from here, and am getting ready to jump on the next flight if that's needed.

We were reminded by our managing director this morning (via email, he didn't come around and talk to me personally) that the new in-the-office-3-days-in-a-row schedule starts now. So now I have some hyacinth forcing jars with fairy lights glowing in them, to make up for the lack of Christmas tree lights in the living room. It’s bringing me joy far beyond what I expected.
I am pro-little lights every and anywhere as joy-making.
