Best of luck, Pix.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh no Pix I’m so sorry. I hope you can get him set up somewhere he can be more taken care of. Or closer to you or something.
David I have a cleaner every other week, which is probably a bit too often (alone, every three weeks would be fine, but I set it up when a friend and her sheddy dog were staying with me) and it’s so nice. Makes me put things away and clean up so they can do the actual cleaning I hate.
Oh no, Pix. Good luck dealing with All of That.
I think I need a cleaning service. Something JZ and I had discussed before, but now that it all falls to me (with some bits of help form Matilda), it's onerous and I'm no good at dusting anyway.
I started having someone come once a month this year, and it is GREAT. (edit: once a MONTH, not once a week!)
I'm at the gate waiting to board. It's just a really complicated situation with his dog and his current roommate/part time caregiver and the state of the house. I'm trying to figure out if I can hire someone to come morning and night on the days James is working to just make sure he eats and takes his meds. It's looking like he didn't eat or take meds regularly for three days, so that's why he's there.
Oh, I missed your post, Pix. I'm so sorry. It's so hard. Good luck getting it sorted out.
Oh, Pix, I’m so sorry. My Dad is an only child who had to take care of his aging parents from just halfway across the country and it was such a stressful time (and he was also a teacher). Much love and strength to you. And easy travels.
Oh Pix. I'm so sorry. May things can go as well as they can.
We are going to get a cleaning service sometime this year. Mr. Loomycakes knows this is non-negotiable.
It looks like it may be kidney disease. His values are super low. I'm in flight now. The good news is that this may be the cause of the vertigo and everything, so it would be an actual diagnosis. They are admitting him. The doctor is in with him now and Dad's friend Ralph is there, so he will tell me more later. Long distance medical communication is the worst.
Fingers crossed for your dad. And you!
Timelies all!
Happy birthday Amyparker!
Much ~ma for your dad, Pix.
