I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I like raisins fine in bread and cereal, but not in cookies. I guess the chewiness doesn't work for me in the cookie format.

Our wings are not tired.

I heard about the massive East Coast outage, but apparently we are not included here. No fun for those included.

Poor puppo. Skinner has the donut collar and it works pretty well, except his nose is so long that he is still able to lick/chew places he shouldn't. I just give him Benadryl when I want to calm him down.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have chocolate chip cookies for later. It was very easy to tell which was which so I knew I was starting with the oatmeal raisin.

Oh no on the internet outage!

Poor pupper

I started college at 17 and waiting would probably have been better for me but another year at home would not have been, so, yeah, dunno.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Similar to Emmett and Matilda who are both September babies. So he arrived on campus at age 17 and that was (in retrospect) too early for him.

SAME

I like raisins in many things but yes, you need to know they're there.

"You should never say bad things about the dead, only good… Joan Crawford is dead. Good.” —Bette Davis

Raisin bran = good
raisins in tajine = great
raisins in what appear to be chocolate chip cookies = work of the Devil

Damn you all, now I want oatmeal cookies.

I want oatmeal cookies, funnel cake, chocolate chip cookies, and... kind of Raisin Bran, too.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

but I used to get empanadas from a local place that would include them and didn't mind them.

Yes, they use raisins at my fav empanada place (which is Argentinian) with beef and green olives and you'd think that wouldn't work. But I love that combo.

Also like raisins in oatmeal cookies.

In fact I just ate a handful of nuts and raisins and craisins to top off after my lunch omelette.

JZ is about to drive up to Reno to take care of her mom, who is having minor outpatient sinus surgery. But JZ is trying to dodge the River of Rain and consequent snow. Because you know one place you don't want to be snowed in? The Donner Pass.

So it'll just be me and Matilda watching anime and teen sex comedies for the next week.

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

So it'll just be me and Matilda watching anime and teen sex comedies for the next week.

Party at your place!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I have a recipe (The title says "Moroccan Chicken" but I've changed it enough that that feels like a lie, so I call it "Maraca Chicken") that I put dried cranberries in. I also use them in salads, and the one cookie I make that wants raisins. I am generally anti-raisin.

We've got 2 hospitals here doing vaccines. One was set to open up to 1b (this includes me, for job reasons), but posted a thing that their mandate is kupuna (elders) so those of us with vocational eligibility can fuck off till DoH gets their shit together.*

The other stop taking voicemails. I was calling maybe a dozen times a day, no answer, as people had been telling me that that's how they'd managed to get appointments (I also left a voicemail back when we could, and emailed when they changed their message). Got a call from them yesterday to schedule, so I'm getting my second shot on the Friday of Spring Break. I guess they've been slowly working through their messages.

* DoH is terrible at getting their shit together. As is the DoE. Guess who's working together to get school staff vaccinated? Yeah. Being on that list has always been my "if all else fails".
