Oh Pix that sounds so hard and shitty. I’m so sorry and I hope your dad is able to move and have a less stressful time for you.

300 stitches is TOO MANY wow.

Thrive to spite them

Susan I can't use myself as an example of someone who didn't go to college and ended up not struggling because of it. I definitely do not recommend the path I've taken in my life.

BUT my cousin ( the pediatrician) has one son who has taken a very winding route in his life. He has severe ADHD and struggled in school and bounced around. One year he went and was camping and hiking out West ,picking up odd jobs and met his wife. He ended up going into the military and finally seems to have a path.

My brother went into the military after high school and then it took him a bit to decide on college and he held a few different jobs and finally got both is BA and his Masters and runs a state park it can be a winding route .

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Pix, that is a LOT to deal with. I'm glad for the good parts -- that your dad is being discharged today AND that he's willing to consider assisted living, because that's a big hurdle for a lot of older folks.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Aw man, Kristin, that’s a lot of crap to deal with. I hope things start to improve sooner rather than later.

Remember when we had time to post at work? I can’t believe I got away with posting all day long, basically. Speaking of, I need to get back to work.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Aw, Pix, that just sounds exhausting. I hope things are headed for an upswing very, very soon. {{{Pix}}}

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Hugs to Amy and Pix and David and anyone else who needs it.

I’m in the airport awaiting the first leg of my return home. My parents are still testing negative by there are now 100+ residents and staff positive in their community. Doubtful that the dining rooms will open before the first week of January.

Susan I hope he can find a path he enjoys. My son is working 30 hours a week and able to make car payments, but he’s not paying rent or saving any. Also he doesn’t like his work, so I hope he makes a work change or decides to take some classes in the nearish future.

Remember when we had time to post at work?

Some days I still do. Like today! But not like I used to, and not every day. Man I had an undemanding job 20 years ago. Which paid badly and was not otherwise rewarding and certainly dead end, but it was decidedly undemanding. I wonder what that office is like these days. That position probably shouldn't exist anymore.
