Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I have a question for the hive mind ... in regard to a Word document I'm trying to clean up. It's been edited by multiple people and SOMEONE (no way to tell who) set up some kind of style/formatting that I can't fix.

It's a document with automatically generated table of contents. The group's logo is supposed to appear at the top of the first page of the actual text. However, it's appearing at the bottom of the table of contents. It has a little anchor symbol next to it. If I insert a page break, it forces the logo to the top of the next page ... but nothing else is on the page. The actual text starts on the next page. I can't move, delete, copy/paste the logo to put it on the page it should go on. I tried taking out the orphan/widow option, with no luck. Tried selecting "keep with next" with no luck. I've tried everything I could think of ... and there's no way I can find to fix this. Suggestions? I'm really not good with Word ....

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It sounds like the logo needs to be in the page header, Toddson.

Because books.

The disparity in where vaccines are available makes no sense. Here, even senior citizens can't get it, but in Bucks County (NE of Philly, where I'm SW) a friend who's younger than I am by nine years or so already got hers. She is a social worker/counselor, but I would think most of those appointments would be virtual?

Right there with you on the high school seniors. Sara has gotten her shit together since I last posted about it (at least in terms of saving her grades for the first marking period), but getting through to graduation? She's excited about college (for values of college that equal more independence, and partying, most likely), but at the same time, who knows what's going to be happening in the fall?

She's also applying to St. Joe's and Temple in Philly, and that terrifies me. The area around Temple is really sketchy. Weirdly, if she were applying anywhere in NYC, I'd be fine with it? I guess because I know NYC.

My big hurdle is paying for it. She's going to need, like, 100% financial aid. It exhausts me just to think about it.

Dana, thanks for the tip ... I'll give it a try.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Controversial statement: I am eating oatmeal cookies with raisins and they are delicious

I have nothing helpful for the Word problem or the student issues. I can report that my brother got his first dose of the vaccine (he works in an assisted living facility) last week, yay!

I approve or raisins in oatmeal cookies. There are lots of places where they sometimes go that I do not approve (stuffed grape leaves? picadillo? no, thank you), but oatmeal cookies are OK. Actually, I think I'm good with sweet raisin use, but I don't like savory with raisins.

I have no new options, Toddson, but I do have empathy for you. Hate that kind of thing.

We have a powdered sugar on funnel cake sprinkling of snow this morning.

And now I want funnel cake. Bah.

Our wings are not tired.

No controversy for me. I loves oatmeal raisin cookies. Yum!

Amy, one of our friends went to Temple for medical school. It was quite the adjustment after living in a posh suburban Boca Raton area. He lived. And stayed in Philly where he now has his medical practice. It is a super sketch area for sure, as is much of Philly honestly. I think it is the only place I have lived where I was uncomfortable, this was back in the early 70s when the police force was the greatest danger. Shuddering at the memory.

Word formatting being screwed is something that I have never had much success in fixing. I bow to the experts on that stuff.

Actually, I think I'm good with sweet raisin use, but I don't like savory with raisins.

I must just like raisins because I like them in various Indian savory type dishes too. Bit of spicy pepper, bit of sweet raisin, happy taste buds.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Raisins are liars who pretend to be chocolate chips and then laugh at your disappointment.

Dana, it seems to have worked ... not quite the way I expected, but it seems to have worked (I kind of poked at the header and footer information and - surprise! - the logo moved to the right page.

I don't mind raisins in oatmeal cookies, but they aren't my favorite. I used to make them for my sister and substituted butterscotch chips, since she really disliked raisins. I'm not fond of them in savory dishes, but I used to get empanadas from a local place that would include them and didn't mind them.

I haven't tried to get a vaccine (which has been dubbed the Fauci Ouchie), although I'm 68 with underlying health conditions. Right now, the city is trying to focus on people in areas that haven't received a lot of vaccinations; I moved from one of those to one that is receiving vaccinations. I plan to wait a bit and make sure I can get both doses ... I'm not sure if not receiving the second one in the specified time would make the first dose ineffective, but I'd prefer to wait.

And I feel so sorry for parents, students and teachers. I'm not any of those, but I keep hearing reports of how they're all stressed out, scared ... and, with so many places pushing to reopen the schools ASAP, so many are scared.
