Completely shallow whining: The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland is closing on Jan. 22 for major renovations, and probably won't be open until 2025. I had the vague start of plans to go to Disneyland next spring, but since the Mansion is a very large part of why I'd go, that probably won't happen.
I MISS MY SPIRITUAL HOME, DAMMIT.
Now I'm kind of picturing that you're not the only one, and that on some pagan holiday or something a bunch of goths will be clustered around the "Closed for Repairs" signs saying "Next year at the mansion," Freshly boosted...feeling pretty hale. May it be so.
The 20th anniversary of Bats Day at the Fun Park, the unofficial goth day at Disneyland, is in May, and I suspect this news will affect attendance.
