I was wondering too! But I’m tired and had a migraine overnight and hadn’t had the energy to comment (went to bed with a bit of a headache hoping sleep would relieve it, instead had to get up at 2am and take my meds, so feeling a bit hungover today).
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Or at least remember to look at it occasionally
This is me. I think there just isn't the critical mass of people/accounts there yet that makes it feel like a must-follow in the way Twitter used to. OTOH since I mostly forget to check it, maybe I just don't know what I'm missing?
(Also, the last time I logged on my recommended follows were almost entirely furry-related accounts/lists, which gave the impression that Bluesky is aiming for an audience that does not quite align to my interests?)
Well, this is a long time with no posts. Everything ok?
I was busy yesterday doing Onerous Tasks with Emily.
I tried to get her to help me clean the Guinea Pig cage (much easier as a two person job but Matilda has had basketball games every night this week). I took the soiled liners down to be shaken out and washed, and she was supposed to sweep up the rest of the cage, but she was yelping, "I can't do it! I'm going to throw up!"
She'd be no use mucking out a barn.
Emmett's coming over this afternoon to help move furniture in advance of the xmas tree getting tomorrow. He will be rewarded with his favorite Coq d'Indre au Cognac et Cidre! Also, known as Turkey Stew. Though I made it soupier this year and it's probably the best flavor ever on this recipe. I'll serve it over butter noodles and he'll be a happy lad.
I'm quite happy that cold weather has arrived in SF.
I'm quite annoyed that the garage door has decided to malfunction.
Oh, did I mention we're having a school crisis with Matilda? She's in danger of failing her ceramics class because she's missing a project and has missed the cutoff date for getting it in the kiln. Though we may be able to salvage it.
Oh no, ceramics class shouldn't be stressful!
Sorry about the migraine, meara.
I had intended to take today off since I worked on Sunday, but I have a meeting scheduled for this morning and picked up an extra task that I thought I should work on so I'm on the metaphorical clock but allowing my cat's insistence on snuggling dictate how much work I actually do...

OK, I just checked my recommended follows and that does not appear to be the case for me. Or if they are they are subtle about it
Oof, good luck getting the kiln issue sorted. Agree with -t -- ceramics class should not be stressful! Especially for someone with artistic gifts... I might be more like Jeff Winger in a ceramics class, TBH.
Migraines and insomnia, please to go away.
I am not not in the holiday spirit, but I don't have the motivation to put the tree up this year. I think... I got so excited to have a big tree for a couple of years that it didn't really occur to me that, given I'm really the only one who gives even a smidge about the holidays in our household, maybe a more medium-sized affair would do?
I do have a super cute Advent calendar -- Aldi -- when you pull out the candy, the door stands up, and it makes a little holiday town scene against the decorated box top background. It's really pretty adorable.
I have not checked back in to Blue Sky. I should maybe do that.
I will say that I had high hopes for Blue Sky as a Twitter replacement but they haven't really panned out due to the lack of features (especially hashtags and GIFs). I also hate everything being public. I found some cool film people I didn't follow on Twitter though.
That said, I am there more than Spoutible, which has all the features you could want and then some, but almost no film (or book or opera) buffs.
Basically, for me, it's still Twitter first but I'm going to try to invest more time in the other two now that I have no work lined up for the immediate future.
I do have a bunch of Blue Sky codes if anyone wants one.
Every time I pay my Comcast bill I have to remember that it calls itself Xfinity and then search for that app and that brings up Twitter and that is all just deeply weird.

I refused to update the app in question so on my phone it is still Twitter with the bird.

I took a pottery class last Friday (a very basic introduction to the pottery wheel class), and when I got home, the first thing Tim asked was "So, was it like the pottery class in Community?" (SPOILER: it was not.)
