So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

NO THEY ARE THE BEST. It's in the 30s and 40s in the morning here right now, and I love my heated seats.

Also, if your back is sore, they're nice no matter how warm it is out.

Okay, we are going to the dealership in a couple of hours to talk about ordering a butt-warming Corolla Hybrid, hoping it won't take long to get here.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, new car! With bun warming! Also, the seat warmers are good for a sore back even in warm climates.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Quiet day here. I did the grocery shopping this morning and that’s been about it for today.

Okay, we have ordered a car! 2024 Corolla hybrid, butt warmers and all! It's black and I already named it K.I.T.T. It should be here in a few weeks. Watch me try to be patient.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Okay, we have ordered a car! 2024 Corolla hybrid, butt warmers

Holding Out For But Warmers! That's my new mantra.

Swouncing

Poking my head to Timelies! y'all, and send all good vibes and ~ma all over.

Still as OK as possible here. Still in a strange sort of routine that is extremely fragile and unexpected in all sort of ways (I've been volunteering, among others, in preparing pancake dinners for several families with an enlisted family member, so I won't be surprised if one of the dominant memories for my kids from this war would be that they've had pancake dinners several weeks in a row, on a regular school night).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sounds like a best possible outcome for your kids, Nilly.

Go butt warmers! My sister in Michigan has had them in her car for years. When she picks me up at the airport for Christmas it’s like a little extra welcome for my butt.

I have grown older, but not up.

dominant memories for my kids

Have they learned to make the pancakes themselves, yet?

That is one of my fond memories from my own childhood.

In neighborhood news, there is a pop-up store across the street blaring Christmas music, meanwhile one of my neighbors is a tenor who is practicing his arpeggios. It’s very surreal to hear them simultaneously.
