Lisah, I hope you can find meaningful moments on this difficult time. In my family we leaned on dark humor, but I don’t know how yours rolls.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Some easy breakup~ma, please. Trying to do the stuff exchange today. They don’t know I’m coming, unless they are reading my text messages, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility. If you’re here, R, hi! This is the awesome community that helped you out because I vouched for you.
Happy Thanksgiving, or yam sham, or Wolfenoot, or possible ceasefire, and/or Thursday.
Well, I had a whole conversation with my Mom about bringing oysters (my Dad’s favorite) and, if they did happen to kill him would that be such a bad thing? Would he maybe be ok going out that way? (We’re not actually going to bring oysters.)

Our family Thanksgiving is in Memphis Saturday, so tonight I just got a couple of personal turkey dinners from a caterer and am having Mom over. It will probably be a better holiday dinner than the last-minute Chinese takeout I scrambled to get last year. (Which would have been perfectly fine for a non-holiday meal, I should clarify.)
Lisah, I hope you are able to have some good, quality family time.
smonster, I hope it's as easy as possible
Here's hoping the ceasefire leads to rapid progress toward a more tenable peace.
I just looked up to see what that loud engine outside was and discovered a fire truck in front of my building. They didn't use sirens so I'm going to presume there is no actual fire.
I made a frittata (with dandelion greens) for the first time this morning. I should've taken it off the heat a little sooner, but it wasn't bad. Later I'll do some salmon, wild rice, and roasted sweet potatoes.
Would he maybe be ok going out that way?
He shucked off this mortal coil!
Blue sky day in San Francisco. Matilda and her friend Mia asleep downstairs in the Garden Apartment. I'll have to wake them soon so they can do house prep.
ETA: They are up and want caffeine and food.
I've got the dishwasher running and managed to make coffee despite the eternal conundrum of How To Make It Before You've Had It.
Bird is brined. Spanikopta made. Cranberry sauce made. Stock is prepped. I'll get the spuds going then do the mushrooms. Get the bird in the oven. Stuffing. Mac and cheese. And that's it, basically.
He shucked off this mortal coil!
Heh.
Started out the morning with Brendon sipping espresso and watching the joggers and beachgoers on the balcony. Have made pumpkin cheesecakes, cheesy cauliflower, and roasted Brussels with pecans. Just need to shower and get moving. Going to BIL's this year.
He shucked off this mortal coil!
Heh
Well, crap, smonster.
{{lisah}} I'm really sorry.
There are SIX dogs here at my sister’s place. They all bark whenever someone shows up. Food is almost ready
