Lisah, I hope you are able to have some good, quality family time.
smonster, I hope it's as easy as possible
Here's hoping the ceasefire leads to rapid progress toward a more tenable peace.
I just looked up to see what that loud engine outside was and discovered a fire truck in front of my building. They didn't use sirens so I'm going to presume there is no actual fire.
I made a frittata (with dandelion greens) for the first time this morning. I should've taken it off the heat a little sooner, but it wasn't bad. Later I'll do some salmon, wild rice, and roasted sweet potatoes.
Would he maybe be ok going out that way?
He shucked off this mortal coil!
Blue sky day in San Francisco. Matilda and her friend Mia asleep downstairs in the Garden Apartment. I'll have to wake them soon so they can do house prep.
ETA:
They are up and want caffeine and food.
I've got the dishwasher running and managed to make coffee despite the eternal conundrum of How To Make It Before You've Had It.
Bird is brined. Spanikopta made. Cranberry sauce made. Stock is prepped. I'll get the spuds going then do the mushrooms. Get the bird in the oven. Stuffing. Mac and cheese. And that's it, basically.
He shucked off this mortal coil!
Heh.
Started out the morning with Brendon sipping espresso and watching the joggers and beachgoers on the balcony. Have made pumpkin cheesecakes, cheesy cauliflower, and roasted Brussels with pecans. Just need to shower and get moving. Going to BIL's this year.
Well, crap, smonster.
{{lisah}} I'm really sorry.
There are SIX dogs here at my sister’s place. They all bark whenever someone shows up. Food is almost ready
It is so quiet here. I got my vax last night, and at 11a, my body went, "You! Lie down. NOW," and I slept until 3p.
Matt took Birdie to the dog park, where he reports, she's neither a runner nor fetch player, but she enjoyed her freedom and the other dogs.
I missed Zooming with my family at 1p, so I'm thinking that will happen more like nowish.
Dinner out at 6p.
Hope it's going OK, smonster. Thinking of you and your family, lisah. Holding everyone here close and being grateful for you all.
He shucked off this mortal coil!
NOICE.
I am home, safe and sound with my cat and both my laptops. The lock has been changed. We ended up getting a deputy escort and I’m glad we did.
I’ll have more to say later, probably, but for now I’m going to lie down and then wobble across the street to have a Fresh Market dinner with my neighbor.
I’m sorry, smonster. I’m glad you’re home.
painful, but I guess it could be worse.
