Happiness and condolences as appropriate all. Shir, that's funny. Sometimes we call my cat "Captain Obvious" because when I need help at night or early in the morning, she waits till *after* Mom starts helping to meow in our faces or get underfoot instead of, say, going for help beforehand, Lassie-style,which at times, might be huge.

I'm sorry, Matt.
JAR was in the TV adaptation of that, wasn't he?
I forgot there was one, but yes!
I’m so sorry for your loss, Matt.
Thanks everyone. I know it's silly, but with two cancer deaths one after another and Mom's recurrence all happening close together it feels more like a vendetta than just statistics.
Congrats, amych! Are you planning to move, or is that just sort of in your back pocket in case TFG actually wins in '24?
For now it's 99% a back pocket option (and a good bit of if-I-win-the-lottery-I-don't-actually-play dreaming), but if/when the time came that we decided to move, it opens up, well, all of Europe. And it somehow feels right to close that loop.
Wow, amych! ETA: that seems like a big thing in several ways!
So very cool, amych!
That's very exciting, amych!
JZ and I had been looking at the possibility of a Greek passport, which you can get if you invest in enough property over there. Initially it was really low! (something like $50K) but now it's up to more like $200K. Still, we could have an Air BnB type property in Athens that JZ's relatives over there could run for a cut and we'd still have the EU passport. Still tempting.
Dangit, I need to order a turkey today! Running out of time. I feel completely ambushed by Thanksgiving this year.
