I learned today that one of my favorite musicians, along with his wife and their kid somehow and miraculously survived. Other houses surrounding theirs were not so lucky. They were in the kibbutz closest to the music festival.
All of these are very, very bizzare and violet days.
Very glad that today's meeting is over. outcomes may be important, eventually, but it doesn't make every chapter interesting, I'll tell you that much. ETA: Shir, glad you got a little good news. Hec, good for you for plugging away.
Well it took 4 weeks, but tomorrow we get official word that my boss is out and not returning. One of the Deputies (that I like and work well with) will be acting Director while a search goes on.
The person over my now ex-boss is still big mad at us and still a person that can be a pain, but the hope is that in 3-4 weeks I can get the promotion my boss blocked and be out of the Director’s office and therefore the line of fire.

Tomorrow I fly to Ohio for OVFF. Gary and Mr. S fly out Saturday morning(in hopes that a daytime flight will be less fraught) We all fly back Sunday evening.

Just got my niece booked to fly out on Sunday and I'm so happy to see her, but also for her.
I'll have her here Sunday to Thursday and that'll be a treat. She's close with EM too so that'll be a fun reunion and she'll get to know my kids and San Francisco again.
I'm very happy about this.
Also, I got the home and car insurance switched over to me so that's one checked off the list.
