Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The person over my now ex-boss is still big mad at us and still a person that can be a pain, but the hope is that in 3-4 weeks I can get the promotion my boss blocked and be out of the Director’s office and therefore the line of fire.

Fingers crossed!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Just got my niece booked to fly out on Sunday and I'm so happy to see her, but also for her.

I'll have her here Sunday to Thursday and that'll be a treat. She's close with EM too so that'll be a fun reunion and she'll get to know my kids and San Francisco again.

I'm very happy about this.

Also, I got the home and car insurance switched over to me so that's one checked off the list.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Hi, Nilly! Hang in there!

Shir, can I just say, I am now picturing a bunch of Jewish people meeting on-line to gravely discuss the interpretation of yoga directions? It seems very....on-brand.(In a good way!)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Well, yes. We met to discuss the writings of Patanjali and their interpretation. Something about reflection and sight and mind. It wss very soothing.

Shir, glad you got a little good news

It's good news and I'm very happy that he and his family weren't murdered or kidnapped, but it's also shocking to understand just how close they were to die and the trauma they expirenced.

Did I mention how much I want this to be over already so that we can properly mourn and understand how to continue from here? I don't want one more single person dead by violence, here or in Gaza or in the West Bank. Dead babies won't cure dead babies. Just let us live.

Thinking of you, Shir and Nilly. I imagine everybody wants this to be over.

Today we celebrate Fiona!

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! It was a very nice, normal (as in: no round numbers, normal work and school day) birthday. We had family cake and presents with B. joining in virtually from Bristol, where he is studying. And then we went out for dinner and had a cheese fondue. So, no complaints.

Happy belated, Fiona.

David, that’s so nice you’re able to do that for your niece. I hope you all have a wonderful visit.

Just let us live.

This. So much.

I’m up early at the hospital. They are supposed to take my Dad down for his operation at 630. Hoping it all goes smoothly and I’ll be able to take my Mom back home to rest by late morning. She definitely didn’t sleep well last night. Poor thing.

All the best for your Dad, lisah.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Thinking good health thoughts for Lisa’s dad.

Peaceful thoughts to the rest of the world. Can we just stop being awful?
