People in war zones can post about their lives all they want. We don't have many rules here, but I'm thinking that would pass without Bureau and its discontents. Puts an unwanted dental cleaning in perspective, but the persistent lack of access does add some gravitas to that nonsense, and worse, I often get mobility-management tips at the end, how I should do x, y, z like their mother-in-laws or some shit. No, you should do something so cleaning my teeth isn't Bataan. It's illegal what they have going, technically.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Ohio only has medical cannabis (although recreational is on the ballot next month [I don't have any sense about whether it's going to pass or not]), but the list of conditions covered for medical cannabis is fairly extensive. And I actually got my medical cannabis card for stupid IBS pain that's gotten worse and isn't responding to meds. In fact, I went to the dispensary for the first time last night (which, amusingly, shares a parking lot with a McDonald's). It was like a cross between a pharmacy, a laboratory (pronounced la-BOR-a-tory), and an Apple store. I got gummies, because I'd rather not smoke or vape, and I appreciate a good sour gummy. Now I need to figure out what dose will work to get my stupid GI tract to chill the fuck out.
Cucumbers and cantaloupes also have a lot of potassium. I think citrus does, too, so even drinking lemon water could help. Signed, perpetually on the edge of dehydration.
Or have her eat a banana - would she accept that?
She does at least eat bananas! Her doctor said she could get a Medical card for Florida, but it seemed not worth it with her daughter and me in NY.
Hugs to all who want them, indeed. Echoing the chorus of appreciation for Shir and Nilly checking in when and how they can, without expectation.
(Autocorrect, you should know those names by now)
Love that dress, David.
Can I get some calm mojo~ma for this afternoon? I have a meeting with my immediate bosses at 4, also known as the company owners. It’s a chance for me to outline the support I need to do what is being asked of me, in addition to streamlining information flow and optimizing production time. And improving my work/life balance in a way that works for me.

She is always dehydrated, and of course bad about that. I should bring her more watery fruits because she will eat those. If she has water with citrus slices available she will drink that. She has 3 children locally so we need to work out a schedule to rotate visits every couple days. She has passed out both when out to dinner with us, and when visiting with her daughter, so who knows how many times it has happened at home. Most likely issue was dehydration. Parents! I tell ya, easily as annoying as kids.
Is it definitely restless leg syndrome proper? Because I'm pretty sure the magnesium I started taking as a sleep aid also helps me avoid the foot and leg cramps that plague my family at night. (I still get some, but not terrible)
Yah. I have issues with magnesium absorption now, so I supplement quite a bit. I can always tell when I'm low because the restless leg symptoms start. Cramps can be either that or dehydration (or both) for me. Fun times!
Oooh, we're talking about supplements now!
B.org has aged into supplements and kaftans.
I have started taking Centrum Silver because it's got all the stuff I need (magnesium, potassium, possibly weapons-grade plutonium) to lower blood pressure.
Anybody have an opinion on gut health and supplements to support your gut biome?
I just watched an entire infomercial so apparently I'm curious.
I eat a lot of yogurt...it's helped with the reflux. Have considered other things, but haven't made up my mind...it might be harder on me if certain systems worked more often, is all.
I think I also take Centrum Silver, but I'm not going to get up and go look to confirm. I do remember being overwhelmed with choices for daily vitamins and reading the label for that one and thinking it seemed right enough. Getting my blood pressure checked tomorrow (after taking the prescribed BP meds for over a week, so feeling pretty good about that) and maybe also COVID and flu vax? I already got a flu shot, would getting a second one be bad? It's a drive through flu shot that also supposedly has COVID so my idea of how it will all work is probably quite wrong.
