Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Usually it's other Buffistas who need bubble wrap, but you maybe could use it for a while.

Granted.

Zevo mosquito repellent is my bubble wrap at this moment.

Did I mention that Tim was going back to work this week? It'll be half-days for a while, but still. It's only been two (2) months since his surgery, and if you saw his x-rays that I posted on Facebook, you might think the person who had that particular back would need more than 2 months to recover after surgery before going back to work. But off to work he went today, and it seems to have gone well. Hopefully that will continue.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Do you not get bills (paper or email) for the trash service that would have an account number on it?

You'd think but there's no paper bill and nothing in her email.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Years ago, after I'd dislocated my kneecap, a doctor looked at an x-ray and said, "what's a joint like this doing in a nice girl like you?"

Punishingly Intricate

I got a flu and a SPIKEVAX! yesterday and they didn’t hurt and I didn’t bleed at all. Wild! My arm does hurt now and I’m still waiting for other side effects to kick In but I’m very impressed with the person who gave me the shots.

Our wings are not tired.

I am so thankful for each and every one of you, and I hate, hate, hate, that so many of us are hurting so badly, and have been for so long. And I can't help but think how much worse it would be without each other to lean on.

So very true. I'm so sorry for your loss, Karl.

I lifted the lid on recycling and started to shove some extra bags in and managed to catch the edge of the lid directly into the wound.

OUCH! Let's try and not do that again.

My follow up to confirm the meds are working is on Friday and it is hard to believe that 2 days will be enough time for it to actually work...

I don't know how long it takes for them to kick in, but I've found my doctors have been good with self monitoring. My BP sucks at the doctor's office, but is fine at home. He has me bring my machine with me and if it reads the same in the office he is good with the self readings.

Current conundrum: how to pay the trash pickup bill since I don't know our acct # and JZ's card that she used for autopay is expiring.

I hope you get through on the phone, but they may email when they see the expiration date approaching.

Also I discovered that my under the sink jug of bleach was leaking....y'all it ATE A HOLE THROUGH THE CABINET!

Yikes indeed! I wouldn't think it would do that.

Did I mention that Tim was going back to work this week?

I hope he takes it easy. I did see the x-rays, and even showed my sisters! I can only imagine how uncomfortable he must have been. Very impressive results there. Does he have PT for a while?

Still in construction mode here, but they are doing such a great job. I have pine boards on the walls and ceiling and they are matching up the boards perfectly and beveling the seams and it is just perfection. Of course I still have exposed insulation and wires hanging out all over and a bunch of other in progress stuff, but eventually it will be awesome.

He had PT at home for the first 6 weeks, and now he's started outpatient PT -- I'm not sure how long that will last. He's walking a lot as well -- usually 2 walks a day that are each 20-25 minutes.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"what's a joint like this doing in a nice girl like you?

Bwah!
