That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I lifted the lid on recycling and started to shove some extra bags in and managed to catch the edge of the lid directly into the wound. Wow, that was blinding pain.

Oh god, that made me actually wince. I hope today has been easier on you. Can anyone help you with things like the Kinko's run or other errands that don't require your actual presence or signature?

EM has been coming by once a week to help sort through the paperwork and fight her way upstream on various phone trees. She skipped last week, so I've been under my own power this week, but she'll come by later this week.

Current conundrum: how to pay the trash pickup bill since I don't know our acct # and JZ's card that she used for autopay is expiring. I will have to face the dreaded customer service phone tree. (First attempt at that already failed with a disconnect after long wait.)

Documents I printed at Kinko's:

Beneficiary claim form for Life Insurance
Certificate of Trust that needs to be signed/notarized to move one of our financial trusts entirely under my purview
Form for Funeral Service expenses at JZ's church

Do you not get bills (paper or email) for the trash service that would have an account number on it? But I get it--when I fly to Philly next weekend one of the tasks is to dig through the paperwork and find the plat number of the farmland my dad owns (it does not have an address). I'm crossing my fingers it's on the tax paperwork we know was done this spring. I had called the county it's in and they were incredibly unhelpful (though they did at least answer the phone?)

I got my covid and flu vaccines today! Crossing my fingers I feel OK tomorrow. They were surprisingly painful, I'm not clear if the guy just hit a bad spot or what.

Good luck getting the meds, t!

Also I discovered that my under the sink jug of bleach was leaking....y'all it ATE A HOLE THROUGH THE CABINET! It's not in an obvious place or anything but still. YIKES.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Got my 'flu vaccination today. Didn't hurt (it never has), but it bled a surprising amount -- soaked the Band-Aid®. Got it in the right arm, because I start sleep on the left. It isn't hurting yet, so I hope it doesn't start.

Covid-19 booster is scheduled for two weeks hence.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Usually it's other Buffistas who need bubble wrap, but you maybe could use it for a while.

Granted.

Zevo mosquito repellent is my bubble wrap at this moment.

Did I mention that Tim was going back to work this week? It'll be half-days for a while, but still. It's only been two (2) months since his surgery, and if you saw his x-rays that I posted on Facebook, you might think the person who had that particular back would need more than 2 months to recover after surgery before going back to work. But off to work he went today, and it seems to have gone well. Hopefully that will continue.

You'd think but there's no paper bill and nothing in her email.
