Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oooh, rough without Sudafed. I hate it because it makes me feel weird but it really works. I just elected Minders to tell me if I was acting weird.

There is a lot of drama and bad things in the family currently so I needed a Minder.

Still I love the Nephlet. I think he's the closest thing I will have to a child. It's good to see him with a good partner where they mesh and support each other. He's a good kid. Adult. Whatever.

my work "had natural authority"
Whoo!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Duran Duran!! That sounds amazing.

I can totally see “natural authority” as a thing your work would have, erika.

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm not even sure if allergic is quite the right word...maybe just "highly sensitive to." But it makes me so dry that my system freaks out. I know, right? It probably helps to write things that I really know, instead of wishing for some other life as a district attorney. Nephlet is lucky to have found his person, so young, too.

If you imprinted on them young the way I did, it's a ducking (we're in Natter, not Bitches) amazing show. They played the hits but some amazing deeper tracks. I didn't vibe with one song and it was the perfect time for a potty break.

The open was Waiting for the Nightboat and I was gone. Love them. They were the music of my 14-22 year old self.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

He lives in Cleveland and it was shockingly (to me) nice. Really green and a lot of open spaces in what appeared to be contiguous parks.

Cleveland is pretty nice. Excellent Polish food.

And wow, being in Cleveland on a game day is intense.

Well, you were there for the (1) season opener (2) against the Bengals, so I imagine it may have been even a little more intense than usual.

But! After the wedding reception some of us got on a party bus to go see Duran Duran.

What. That is awesome!

Next Saturday (the 23rd), I'm one of the neicephews (a nephew, to be exact) is getting married, and I am officiating. I'm basically the Beckmeyer family wedding officiant now. And I need to practice the ceremony with Tim and the kitty as the audience, so that I don't cry while I'm doing it for real, and also so I don't talk too quickly, which is a really bad habit I've never been able to break.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But! After the wedding reception some of us got on a party bus to go see Duran Duran.

Oh yeah! I saw them here last week, and it was fucking incredible. Love them! And they've still got it.

I'm sure it was a beautiful day out, but I walked into my church before 9 this morning and didn't leave again until 6:30. That was not normal, and a long day. Phew!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

How is nephlet 27? Sounds like a great wedding.
