Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I don't have any caftans specifically, but I do have closet full of cotton dresses with pockets (pretty much all like these) that meet the comfiness requirements. Also some flowy sleeveless summer tunics. The trick is wearing them with cotton shorts (ideally also with pockets) so that neither chub rub nor indiscreet sitting get in the way of an otherwise delightful outfit.
And I also think Edgefield (outside PDX) would be a great location for a F2F. Not only because it's close enough that I could bring a cat (or two) for visits, but mostly because it's essentially a resort with multiple restaurants, more bars than you can find without a map, a hotel, hostel rooms, a soaking pool, and endless areas for wandering should one need to get away from other humans. Annual pickathon is on the grounds and that features three stages, so that might give an idea as to the acreage one might wander, should one need to go a walking. Best to avoid summer, though, the summer concert series (June-September) invites crowds on weekends. But maybe now enough folks are out of school/teaching that a shoulder season F2F might actually work? October is delightful around here, as is May. And I can drive shuttles to/from the airport. Just sayin ;)
edited to fix my html
Love that tile and totally think it works for the era.
I can maybe convince her if she can have her ow minions.
Not Atropa but I don’t see why not. Gotta learn leadership when they’re young.
erin, I shower immediately after work (because dirty job) and put on some kind of house dress with knit boxers underneath until time for bed.
and in fashion followup, thought it worth sharing that I currently have four sets of these 3/4 length leggings (and two sets of the full length cotton leggings....and three pairs of their cotton yoga pants).
I love them. Not the most flattering soft pants in the world, but soooooo comfy.
Gotta be the cotton ones, though, Svaha also sells Other Leggings in Other Materials which are less delightful, though more fashion-forward. I've gotten to a point where if it isn't cotton or linen, I don't want to wear it more than a few hours.

yaaaaaaas. So comfy. And honestly, can go right to bed in it as well!
I wear cotton and linen all summer. I have loose housecoats to wear around my apartment, but not out of it. And I have some of what I call lounging pajamas for winter - basically light weight warm-ups, since my apartment gets chilly. Also something I can sleep in.
Because I work from home, I either wear concert tshirts and leggings, or long black rayon tunics over leggings. I put on real clothes to leave the house.
Hivemind - have any of you heard of a 2:1 meeting referring to a second 1:1 for an employee? or a 1:1 with an employee's boss's boss?
hee, hee, yeah, bee. good one.
Count on me for the corny knee-slapper.
I love that tile, despite being fairly anti-visual noise. Being the feature in an otherwise calm design would be smashing.
Despite having a philosophy of 'believe nothing but entertain all possibilities', I am beginning to wonder if this 'all the planets are retrograde' doesn't actually have an impact. People are wildin' in my close proximity and I am not liking it. I'm not usually the one telling people to calm down but SHEESH.

preach, Sister! I wear a fair amount of mens' clothing. they are always in better color, better made, and easier to find in natural fabrics.
My work from home clothes are knit shorts and a comfy t-shirt. I also have different, inside and outside shoes.
knit boxers
I "discovered' these recently, and I LOVE and LIVE in them. I am wearing a pair under a knee length chambray shirt dress right now. Though, I wore regular undies when I was out and about today.
They're so versatile and comfortable! It was a revelation. My husband was amused. I mean, I had been wearing the woven boxers, but jersey knit? Yes, please!
