Well no stamina needed—the second party/bonfire got canceled, apparently it’s raining out there (about an hour away) and not forecast to stop. So dog and I went to a dog park near the first party (since I’d figured he’d get to run around at the farm, where the second one was) and stayed there a few minutes until he lost his mind and decided he should bark his head off at the only other people there. Weirdo. So now we are home and fairly unpartied. And also I have half a pan of rice krispy treats that I was bringing that will not be eaten.

I lost the last two days to migraine. I'm currently downing coffee in the hopes I can prevent it from just moving to the other side of my head to take a 3rd day.

I got a migraine last night from watching fireworks on TV (what the hell?), so I took Ubrelvy before I went to bed. I woke up at 4 a.m. and the migraine was worse, so I took more Ubrelvy. It's 8 hours later, and the migraine is still lingering, though not as bad. I am very annoyed, and also want to drill a hole in my skull to let the demons out.

R and I have been together nearly 24/7 since I came up Weds night after JZ died. I am pleased to report that it’s been super great for the most part and the unpleasant parts we got through together. I am already very sad because I have to drive back tonight and go back to work tomorrow. Hoping to move in together after Halloween, we shall see.

I was awake from like 230am-6am? And then slept some more and now feel gross. Boo.

David should totally be wrapped, smothered, covered in love and caring. Like wrapped up in a cozy blanket in front of a roaring fire with a good cocktail and music playing kind of thing.

From my tiny part of the world, I'm very happy to report that Casper the wee floof is finally Doing Better after his bout with a urethral blockage and two different bacterial infections. He's eating again (still turning up his nose at wet food, but going through the kibble at a brisk clip) and wants to play with All The Things. He's also still appreciating a good snuggle, but only on his terms now and not just whenever I'm sitting down for a few.

It'll probably be months for the fur to grow back, but the shaved patch on his rump is softer and less prickly which I appreciate every time I pick him up and don't get a handful of shaved prickly cat skin.

Pet insurance is still steadfastly refusing to reimburse me for any of the thousands spent, but I've got another two week before the credit card bill is due...

Kazumi is very happy to get proper (non human) play time again. And, as is to be expected with a cat, she is now exasperated by Casper's exuberance and not having any of his rowdiness.
