Occasionally I’m callous and strange

>David, you deserve to be scattered, covered, possibly even chunked and capped, but never smothered, with blessings.
Slathered?

Enrobed? Like with dark chocolate, but where the chocolate is love and support and blessings.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

From my tiny part of the world, I'm very happy to report that Casper the wee floof is finally Doing Better after his bout with a urethral blockage and two different bacterial infections. He's eating again (still turning up his nose at wet food, but going through the kibble at a brisk clip) and wants to play with All The Things. He's also still appreciating a good snuggle, but only on his terms now and not just whenever I'm sitting down for a few.

It'll probably be months for the fur to grow back, but the shaved patch on his rump is softer and less prickly which I appreciate every time I pick him up and don't get a handful of shaved prickly cat skin.

Pet insurance is still steadfastly refusing to reimburse me for any of the thousands spent, but I've got another two week before the credit card bill is due...

Kazumi is very happy to get proper (non human) play time again. And, as is to be expected with a cat, she is now exasperated by Casper's exuberance and not having any of his rowdiness.

Thrive to spite them

So I had my interview at the neighborhood Walmart. I liked the people I interviewed with , wasn't hte job I thought I was interviewing for but it was a floor associate , who does restocking and price adjustments things like that. It would be 9-6. And I found out you can find all the info about walmart benefits online and the cost of health insurance, which is much cheaper monthly but a little higher deductible for one option.

But it pays $14 and that isn't negotiable . I ran the math, I had to guess on taxes and things like that and if I did work 40 hours a week for the most part I'd be bringing home about the same as I did before my accident , when I was often working less than 40 hours a week with more expensive health insurance options.

So I'm thinking about it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Pet insurance is still steadfastly refusing to reimburse me for any of the thousands spent, but I've got another two week before the credit card bill is due...

That stinks. Who do you use? I had Fetch (well, that's who I ended up with after multiple corporate mergers) and apart from showing Shelby had an annual visit with vaccines, they were good.

Glad Casper is feeling better.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

David should totally be wrapped, smothered, covered in love and caring. Like wrapped up in a cozy blanket in front of a roaring fire with a good cocktail and music playing kind of thing.

Co and triple signed.

Hi Buffistas. I hope your Monday isn't too Mondayish. And I am also part of MigraineClub, when I'm becoming a human barometer of weather changes. Worst super power ever, evolution.

smonster, I don't think I said it before - I'm thrilled seeing your relationship updates here and so happy for you!

ION, just tell me when Caftan F2F is and I'm booking tickets. It's either this or another spreadsheet of "OK, where are you again and how do I see as many of you in under two weeks?". Which can be done, but your country is huge. Seriously.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

shrift, now I'm not even sure you slounge.

Admittedly, sometimes I make pained noises getting up from slounging these days.

Early slounging was pre-caftan era for all of us.

I've left the pleather pants behind and I'm ready to embrace the caftan life.

I am sad when I think about some of the awesome shoes I have that I will never wear again because I can’t do heels anymore.

I was momentarily very tempted by a green pleather dress at the store yesterday. Gorgeous color but where would I wear a green pleather dress? It’s just not my lifestyle anymore…

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I've left the pleather pants behind and I'm ready to embrace the caftan life.

This should be the 2023 Buffista motto.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Caftans sound interesting, but I’d have to wear shorts or something like that underneath because of thigh rub.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I never went to a F2F, but the idea of caftanpalooza sounds wonderful.

We’re all so much older now totally different vibe.

I spent the weekend with my friend who passed’s husband, mother, and a brief visit with her son. The memorial is in 3 weeks and I’ll be back for that. We’re are struggling in different ways, but it’s easier together.
