Thanks beekaytee for hosting and thanks everyone for coming together in support of JZ and family. That was lovely and sad and life-affirming all at once.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Everything you have all said, yes. So grateful for the gathering yesterday, and this community, and for JZ. And the whole Zmayhem family.
Thank you for sharing that poem, Windsparrow!
And congratulations, Susan!
That was lovely and sad and life-affirming all at once.
It really was. My heart has been so full ever since, thinking of JZ and David. And all of you.
Casting a vote for Axe Murder Avoidance Day!
I’m sorry I had to leave early but so deeply grateful to see and hear everyone (and Andi I’m very glad I got to hear your lovely poem and its perfect final word).
But mostly I’m glad to have seen JZ’s beautiful face one more time. And it was so nice to have Matilda there, and to see her and David’s loving care.
How apt the Natter title is....
We had a Tropical Storm Day off from school. Our house is fine, but things were a mess. The earthquake at 3:40 at the same time really put the cherry on top of a surreal day in August.
Betsy! Wow! I was just commenting on Brenda's FB page that so very many of us have original highly preferred Gmail addresses because of you Betsy.
So good to see so many other former-regulars.
My computer completely died maybe 15 minutes into the phone call and I'm so grateful I could get back on with the tablet I rarely use.
Someone said it slightly differently above, but at a really fantastic funeral may learn aspects about a person never known before & thought, gosh I wish I'd known that about them while they were alive.
Sort of same thing? wonderful to express appreciation and love to JZ, David, Matilda.
I just couldn't bring myself to come to the Zoom. Know that I love you all from afar.
It only occurred to me today that I talked about when I first David and JZ, but I didn't talk about when I met Emmett (when we took y'all to a Durham Bulls game) and Matilda (a knitting lesson at the apartment in the Haight, when I was in sore need of getting away from All The People at a tech conference). Editorially, this is totally the right choice, but now I feel urgently like including them in the big love envelope.
vw, wasn’t able to make it to the zoom call, but the girls had a playdate today. So, we did get a chance to talk about it.
In completely other news, it continues to be a joy to see Stitch and ltc play together. They love each other fiercely.
