I was the one who organized the previous Zoom, and I can arrange another one. Hec, I'll send you an email to arrange things.
(also, yes, of course JZ is the bestest. And erika, I feel you in Problematic Grandparents, where is the guide [subtitle: I understand that living through WW2 as Jews in Europe didn't help, but For The Love Of God WTF]. Epic, much love and strength to you in your treatments. And much ~ma to all of the other people I forgot to mention. To all of us).
Edit: posted at the same with beekaytee and didn'tsee the post - you of course can organize the Zoom.
I want to do a Zoom call.
I applied for a couple of more jobs today. My resume isn't perfect but it's out there.
Ooops. Edited to add that the timing is set!
9am PST/12 EST, Sunday August 20. My place. I'll post my link soon.
The next question up for debate is whether or not we should record the call for off-line viewing.
I have no preference, but this is a solution for those who cannot make the actual time.
Edited again to state the obvious: All plans will be predicated on what works for Chez Zmayhem.
I feel we are all together and it’s just… a gift.
So much this. I’m deeply grateful.
Yes, this.
slinks in like a cat who's been gone too long
Hi, friends.
Thanks for setting this up, beekaytee.
Hello, juliana!
Hi, friends.
Hey! Your rosemary focaccia got all gobbled up.
Could everybody make a concerted effort to reach out to Buffistae who may not check in on the board regularly. I would like Lee to know. Allyson. I'll tell JenK. Just reach out.
I apologize that we didn't give more notice but it's starting to happen quickly.
She's starting to sleep a lot which is the thing our nurse told us would be a sign of the end.
Jacqueline dictated and I typed some responses to messages and emails this morning. Just know that she can't type or respond that well now, and even focusing her eyes or mousing around is a little tricky.
So...think of the Sunday call as an opportunity to leave nothing unsaid. I wish I had told Ginger a few things before she was gone.
She's not going to be doing much of the talking on the Zoom. That noted, I saw her fidgeting in bed this morning and asked her what she was doing and she said, "Writhing...and reeling." So she's still there with wit intact.
Just huge love and peaceful thoughts headed to JZ and family.
My family is losing one of ours within hours/days. My funny, beautiful, complicated, magical fairy aunt Happy. This is a quote from her about herself from a family gathering a few years ago. It makes me smile and just sums her up perfectly. "It's hard to behave." (Mind you, this was after she started a conversation about Brazilian waxes at....a baby shower. I am laughing through tears, friends.)
All the love to all of you.
