You and EM really did a fantastic job of coparenting and moving past the old hurts, I can't stress this enough. Too many people just can't.
The best gift my parents gave me - beyond knowing them - was that ALL of the parents in our lives were there for all of us. It's hard but I am grateful.
I keep typing half a post and getting distracted by work or the like and switching devices and never actually posting anything, but I am thinking of you all every time I am *not* hyperfocused on some dumb work thing, especially the Zmayhems. So I'll just say that while I have a minute. I am reading and nodding and thinking responses much more frequently!
Hec just reminded me of an organization started by Nancy Dawson, who had two trans children and realized there was a need for a new wardrobe for people changing their outward appearance to match gender identity. She's the late wife of a pal, and sadly passed of cancer just as Transform was getting established. It's based in Cincinnati. [link]
Though the website has a few broken links, the organization is still up and running - I checked its Facebook page and it has recent posts.

Now I’m remembering my dad at the VA hospital years ago and we sent three pizzas for the nurse’s station and somehow nobody realized and thought they were all for him. (!!)
And the next day he’s all “that was so nice but it was really way too much pizza” like, no shit dude. That was not for you!
