Tim just texted me a picture of his back with the incision, and it looks so good, in terms of there being virtually no redness or swelling. I counted, and he has 40 staples.
That's a lot of staples. Quick recovery for Tim.
A’s had a player who dove into the shallow end of a pool and split his scalp open. They closed it up with staples and he was forever known after that as Staplehead.
They might have to drain fluid from her abdomen too.
Unexpectedly, I got a $6K check from Rosemary's estate. I mean, I didn't think I'd get anything but I guess there was a retirement account and so on. This isn't a life-changing amount of money, but I have a list of house repairs this long....

I talked to Tim on the phone and he sounds SO MUCH BETTER than he has for several days! I still think he probably won't be home until Tuesday, partly because he still needs to demonstrate some basic benchmarks, like walking steadily and maybe going up and down that little thing of 3 steps that's tucked in a corner of the unit. But I do think he's turned a corner, which is fantastic!
