Aw, Indictment Day is my favorite holiday.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Lots of surgeries! My mother apparently had surgery this morning, lump-ectomy for recurrent breast cancer (last round was...15 years ago? And pretty minor). I did not know that today was the day.
We're excellent communicators.
She's holding off on the radiation treatment until after she comes out for birth of grandbaby number 2 sometime in the next just-under-4-weeks. I am 100 percent ready to be off on maternity leave.
Every 20 patients or so, we get someone who follows the guidelines, does the exercises independently, is pleasant and easy-going, and inevitably leaves in a quarter of the time of the patients who, for example, decide to not even try to use the bathroom for their toileting needs all weekend, just hanging in bed and not using any of the skills we've been working on all week, dammit.
So, it's a continuum. I'm sure all Buffistas are on the "not actively self-sabotaging" end of the spectrum.

I'll bet! Bobby was born in August and I remember wearing as little as possible without regard for what anyone may have considered decent.

I'm not bad so much as pitiful and pathetic. Don't fight but want to be catered to as much as possible.
A bit of surgery ~ma for my great nephew too. 13 years old and was feeling miserable and vomiting and stuff. Ends up he has a twisted testicle. Surgeon says it is a quick and easy procedure. But anesthesia and knives are involved, as well as sensitive bits, so ouch.
Nephew is okay. Dopey and they are keeping him overnight but procedure went well.
Ouch! I've heard guys who've had testicular torsion say the pain is worse than kidney stones.
I'm a very compliant patient, but I really just want to be left alone when ill.
The thing that sucks for a teenager during summer is no strenuous activity for 4 weeks. Not that he is interested in doing any sports at the moment, as his parents say he is walking like a cowboy. Apparently it was a puberty thing that happens. But he'll be fine.
I'm glad the procedure went well, Laura.
I'm one of those "follow process and procedures for a week, and then screw it," patients. Which is great if there's a one-week recovery time, and less good otherwise.
Poor kid. I hope his recovery goes smoothly.
And lots of ~ma to Tim as well.
My brakes were making a weird noise. I finally got them looked at. Lots of various things wrong. Brake pads, calibration, I don't remember what else. The mechanic said it was mostly due to having a 12 year old car and the mileage is really low for the age of my car. Besides the brakes there is some other issues that are minor now and can wait a bit.
Love to all of you Zmayhem.
