Tim is out of surgery and I just met with the surgeon, who said it went very very well!
Excellent news!
Tim still has one more surgery to go, on Thursday. Fingers crossed that one goes as well as today’s did.
Digits crossed!
Because we don't clean out our gmail accounts with any regularity we found the Apple receipt for buying JZ's laptop so we can prove she owns it when we take it into her ex-work IT people. Because they think it must be theirs or why else would it have grabbed a bunch of her work stuff off the cloud.
Oh well. Today's win is...finding the receipt.
glad to read that Tim's surgery is going well.
Hec, if I hadn't been in situations that stupid, I wouldn't believe it, but I have, so I get it.(People have other things, bureaucrats of America.)
Yay, Tim!
One of these days, I will probably have to infodump about every single thing that's been happening on my side of the family (each one suckier than the last!), but if I start, I think I'm going to end up catatonic, so hey!
It's really amazing how little you can do when someone's mental health is decidedly poor, they're reality challenged, and yet are not a risk to themselves or others. Truly.
And not my brother for once! He gets to be the almost sane one because it's my sister who's gone 'round the bend! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Anyhow. In summation, now my parents, who are both suffering from memory, hearing, and vision going down the toilet, have two adult children living in the house with them, one with serious mobility issues who as of two weeks ago discharged herself AMA from the hospital and also torpedoed her marriage. I think today is the day I hit the end of my rope. Going to need to find more.
Sounds...complicated, Plei.
Maybe a CIL could help(/broken record of Advice nugget #3.)
Sheesh! Is too much!
RIGHT? Makes a person want to change names, go off the grid, and live in a yurt.
Damn, Plei, that's a boatload of badness.
I'm home from the hospital -- poor Tim is having a lot of muscle pain, because the way his spine was curved for so long, his back muscles and core muscles on the right side got overtaxed trying to pull him back to center, while the muscles on the left were lazy jerks. So now that his spine is straightened out* the muscles on the right AND the left have no idea what the fuck is going on, so they're flipping out. Dilaudid didn't help, because it's all muscle spasm-y. They've given him all the muscle relaxants he can have for the time being, so they're adding Valium and a heating pad. He's honestly just going to have muscle pain for while, but hopefully drugs can at least dial the pain down from a 7 to a 2 or 3.
*He was lying in bed the entire time I was in his room after surgery, so I haven't seen him stand yet, but I think I'm going to cry when I do. You guys, his curvature was *so* pronounced. And now it's gone! Modern medicine is fucking amazing.
Tough transition for Tim's spine and muscles! You can do it, muscles! I believe in you. Streeeeetch.
