We went to Barbie last night! It was fun. We were supposed to be on a ferry this morning but it got canceled so now we are on the afternoon ferry. Which means no wine tour. Boooooooo.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, no, additional charges against Trump in the classified documents case. So tragic.

Our wings are not tired.

We pinked out. It was fun for all. Pictures on the FB.

This is cool, I bet Hecubus would enjoy it: [link]

Cool, but also a little hairy to contemplate. Jacqueline went to a birthday party a the Bay View Boat Club and vouched for its funky cool, and Souvla has also been on my radar.

Yeah, I would not be sleeping unprotected outdoors in Oakland, not by myself anyway. But it's a charming essay.

Exactly so.

We've got the Covid, but so far, so mild.

Borks a bunch of stuff, but I'll take a mild case and mild inconvenience any day.

Ugh, I'm sorry, Jen! We got so mad at ourselves when we got it last year. Annoying for sure, but thankfully not as tragic as it was before vaccines.

Tomorrow is the annual 'meet and greet' in Otter Lake. The local pub where this is held is where we caught Covid last year at a community event. Granted that was just all out stupid as we were indoors in very crowded conditions shouting with all our neighbors to be heard over the noise. We were really asking for it. This year I see they have built an outdoor structure, perhaps because we weren't the only victims! Anyway, it is a fundraising event and I am hoping we can pay up, run through the food line, get a drink, and go outside to socialize. Sigh, I don't think we will ever be able to socialize without giving it a lot of thought again.

eta: Barbie was a delight. My son was actually blown away as he hadn't anticipated enjoying it so much. He had purchased matching Hello Kitty pink t-shirts to go with the girlfriend and they were mighty cute. If on FB, this is a link [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I’m possibly going to try to see Barbie this weekend if we can get a sitter. We have at least 8 people coming g to Francesca’s birthday party this year. So I don’t have to make myself sick worrying about her being upset that no one could make it this year. Summer birthdays are hard.
