Mom talked to the hospital. I think my aunt's nurse who said that someone from the hospice did go see my aunt and is baffled about how she could determine that my aunt isn't terminal.

There is another hospice organization that mom called and the case worker is going to work on things as well.

I really wish I could give the horrible lady from last night a piece of my mind. She was just awful. I can't imagine what it would be like for someone who had a closer relationship to their loved one.

The breast clinic called me this morning to offer me an appointment that had opened up due to a cancellation, so I'm now scheduled for this coming Monday at my preferred location. Which is a relief, but I'm also very aware of how much I benefit from the privilege of being an obviously educated middle-aged white lady capable of striking the fine balance of being anxious and persistent enough to arouse sympathy while remaining polite and non-disruptive enough to not drive it away.

We're going to Winnipeg for Pemmi-Con, the North American Science Fiction Con.(When World con is not in North America, a NASFic is held) Have to get up at stupid o'clock for our flight tomorrow morning.

I'm posting this here because I can't put it anywhere else. My sister's wedding was 2 weeks ago, and she put up the link to the photographs, and there isn't a single real picture of me in them. I'm indirectly in a few other photos, but apparently my sister never told the photographer I was related to her? So they didn't bother?

In more the world has gone mad news, I see someone went on a shooting spree in New Zealand around the World Cup. I only saw the headline so don't know the details. Generally New Zealand gets this stuff right, but tough to get rid of all the ways the crazies can get weapons.
