Good Monday! I have arrived in Otter Lake. It was a road trip. Poor DH can not extend his legs in my car so he was pretty miserable. Next time we will have to stop every hour rather than every 2 hours so he can stretch some.
I am about to go and check out my house. I stayed at my sister's last night because my bathroom isn't quite ready yet. They gutted the entire place and are just now putting the pieces back together. New fancy appliances and stuff. It will be more up to date than my Florida home!
Tired.
Teppy, that's heartbreaking. I lost a nephew the same way; Ken was devastated, as he and his cousin had been quite close. Wishing all of your strength and grace.
Sheryl, all admiration to you as you wrestle on behalf of your son.
Laura, may the house be all you could want!
And as it's a totally different subject -
I'm moving into a whole-arsed HOUSE in about three weeks. Laura has my new mailing address and doubtless will update when and as she has time; all other contact information remains the same.
I'm so sorry, Teppy. What terrible news.
I'm about to jump out of here and into another clinical trial; this one is a trial of a virtual reality device to deal with fear and depression surrounding cancer diagnoses. I've managed to get it up and running once. I was a swirling purple cloud in a clear night sky. It was hippy-dippy but also pretty interesting. At 12 noon the whole trial group (6 people, I think) try it together for the first time. I have no idea what to expect.
JZ, that sounds pretty cool. I hope it's helpful to you and the rest of the group, in addition to being interesting.
Somehow I posted a blank post??? I couldn't let it just sit there and be blank, so this is an edit.

Huh. That
is
interesting. Is there a sound component as well?
I hope you get it to work for you.
The heat index here is 110, and I would like to know who to complain to. (Climate change and humans, I know.)
Jacqueline further reported that she is a vaporous purple cloud with a pulsing red heart in the VR environment. And that you can touch your heart to the other clouds as a sign of support.
I'm basically imagining Lumpy Space Princess with boundary issues.
