I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And I'm not going to go open the Reality TV thread, but will note here that Kristen Kish is the new host of Top Chef, which seems like a great choice. She's got the reverse professional background from Padma -- mostly a chef, was also a model.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That choice made me very happy.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry about your friend, msbelle.

Punishingly Intricate

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend, msbelle.

I don’t know who Kristin Kish is but I trust you folks that she’s a good choice!! I’m just finishing Padma’s final season now and am sad to see her go.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

She won Top Chef out of Last Chance Kitchen! And she's gorgeous.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

msbelle, I’m so sorry.

I’m very excited about Kish.

I brought ltc into the library bookstore I worked in and told her she could fill a shopping bag with whatever she wanted. Everything there is either $1 or 50 cents. She managed to fit $22 worth of books into her bag.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

ltc is a Buffista after my own heart.

strength and peace to you and all your friends, msbelle.

I am ON VACATION.

The dog got very unhappy when I ran around the house packing for camp. She would be even more unhappy if she knew she was going to a kennel for 4 days! She has never been. I hope she doesn't get too upset about it all.

Our wings are not tired.

My last two trips I used Rover.com to find dog sitters/boarders. Both times it was in homes with just one other dog and freedom to get on furniture and be spoiled. The first was a stay-at-home mom with a disabled child and a nice big backyard and the second was a work-at-home dude who jogged multiple times a day with Skinner. I was really pleased with the results.

Well done, ltc!

And YAY VACATION!!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe
