And you're sure this isn't just some fanboy thing? 'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Holy shit, that's awesome!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What's everyone doing this weekend?

JZ and I went to brunch this morning, have already sat around poolside reading and are going to see Asteroid City here in LA.

Tomorrow we fly home and deal with the fact that our wall mounted TV has pulled free and wrecked a bit of wall. (They saved the TV.)

Yikes to the TV.

Awesome tweet, heh.

What's everyone doing this weekend?

We went swimming and both got pedicures pre-noon. Then we did the puzzle, and I took a nap while he went for a massage, so it kind of turned into a super self-indulgent we-day, I guess. Then we have dinner out with some friends at 8. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Nothing on for tomorrow. Theoretically I want to cull clothes. Theoretically.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This is why I’m scared to mount a TV. Good luck!

I just got up to the cabin where it is lovely and peaceful, except for two dogs who are hunger striking. Stopped at a farmstand along the way and got a bunch of assorted green things and a cauliflower as big as your head.

(Mozzie wouldn’t eat last week and had a few bloody noses. So we gave him a bunch of turkey to get him to eat, and gave the other dog a bunch of turkey to avoid a complaint from the fairness committee. Now they’ve both decided this is their new standard of care. I wish them the best of luck with this.)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I went to the museum with shrift! And another non-buffista friend. Then we had a great lunch and now I am on a slow Bart train home.

My niece is due in about a week so there is lots of phone checking on my future

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I went to backyard karaoke party last night and just saw Indiana Jones. Tomorrow is the regular Sunday -- church, band, dinner with mom.

Our wings are not tired.

Was it that Barbenheimer thing he posted yesterday?

Awesomesauce!

Everyone's weekends sound delightful! I'm going to have to step up tomorrow.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're back from seeing Asteroid City at a theater that was all decked out for Instagrammable Asteroid City pix. (Which we took.)

So the last two weeks (since the previous infusion) have been very rough on Jacqueline's GI system. Much diarrhea and vomiting. A new record, as it were.

We had talked with our oncologist about lowering the chemo dose to give her body a break, and he was good with that choice. We're maintaining the dosage of the study drug.

We've also made an adjustment to her eating earlier before we take the study drug instead of eating after the study meds.

The upshot of both of these adjustment is that her tummy has been better and she's had more appetite.

Which is good because she lost a notable amount of weight over the last two weeks, so now we have a strategy going ahead to try to eat more regularly and put some weight on.

Also, she had more energy today than typically after an infusion. She went out to brunch with me, we had some time poolside (she mostly napping in the shade) and we went to a movie.

That's a pretty active day for her.

Cancer care = infinite adjustments.

That sounds like a lot for any Sunday!

We walked past Tartine today but it was busy and there were no seats; I would like to get lunch there at some point.

Tonight I learned that frozen rhubarb curd is pretty close to ice cream.

Mmm, rhubarb curd aid so good. Never tried frozen.

Was it that Barbenheimer thing he posted yesterday?

It was indeed!
